VHS : The Alamo - Thirteen Days To Glory
Yes, this has faults, many glaring. But it was created for the Texas Sesquicentennial celebration and was aired during the time of year of the battle (if I remember correctly). It was made to be entertaining and appeal to the young people (Alex Baldwin; the young lovers-the girl was played by a former Miss Texas, I think; the marvelous Raul Julia, who practically stole the show), who have to study Texas history twice before they graduate there. As a fifth-generation native Texan (currently exiled in ... Read More:

Any movie with mutant leaches in it is classic. Why does the gigalo bot need to breath? The girl seems to carry more than two knives, wouldn't that be uncomfortable? Curious, then buy this movie and have a good time laughing your but off! Come on, the villan is named plughead. Classic

The guys drive the plot in this one, the girl is just along for the ride. However without her you would have forgotten Delusion a long time ago. WONDERFUL desert a la Zabriskie Point or Bert Stern. A couple of seasoned actors are great as secondary characters - mafia boss & marked man. One of hundreds of road movies, but better than most of them.

VHS : One False Move
This film almost wound up on direct to video were it not for 2 people or critics--Siskel & Ebert!! Former actor Carl Franklin had already made one film for Roger Corman before he did this one and he had to mortgage his home to get credit to make this film--but it turned out to be a winner in more ways than one. For starters, it pushed former Cameron regular, Bill Paxton, to leading man status and Billy Bob Thornton to write another Southern classic, "Sling Blade". This proves that you don't need a lotta money to have a good film, just good ... Read More:
