| Superman IV: The Quest for Peace is a decent film that has good morals to its story. Unfortunately, the Golan-Globus decided to cut back on just about every thing and doomed Superman IV to a bad box office take making it the lowest grossing Superman film in the Christopher Reeve franchise.
Gene Hackman returns with his newest creation Nuclear Man. Personally I thought the character of Nuclear Man was good. Had more money been available they would have been able to do more with the character. Read More: |

| This movie relates the story of an English gangster who turns on his partners and sells them out and moves to Spain. Ten years later men come looking for him and the movie relates the three days when he is kidnapped and pleading for his life while on a rollicking ride around Spain. The cast is essentially four people and the movie is made up of brilliant dialouge, John Hurt and Terence Stamp are brilliant. Director Stephen Frears has created a masterpiece.

| This 1985 BBC production of Silas Marner is pretty loyal to Mary Ann Evan's (i.e. George Eliot's) novel "Silas Marner: The Weaver of Raveloe." I had to read the novel "Silas Marner" in 10th grade English. While I do not remember all of the minor details of the novel, I do not recall this BBC production missing any of the major characters or elements of plot.

| I had a strong reaction to people's negative comments about this movie... I must admit, when I saw the movie in the theater, I can remember it being much more fast-paced then when I saw it for the second time on dvd in the 2000s...I also remember it being funnier...And I suppose the special effects are not up to modern standards... But to call Time Bandits "dated, dumb, and dull," as one reviewer wrote, is in my opinion a great injustice to a great movie.

The Robin Williams dialog doesn't redeem this heart chilling comedy. People as robots that you can throw away when their parts fail: what message does this send to the children? | A beautifully written and acted movie about the devastation of Alzheimers. Judi Dench as the older Iris is fantastic and Kate Winslet as the young Iris is very good. This was my first introduction the the actor Jim Broadbent and I found him to be marvelous...so glad to know that he won an Academy Award for this role. Not a movie to pick up your spirits but a treasure just the same. |

| This is a masterpiece of a movie, one that a director can only accomplish once in a lifetime, and has to be watched without distraction. For young viewers who got used to today's nausea inducing camera shots and ultra quick half second edits, the pacing could come off as ponderous at first.
