| this movie is TOTALLY OFF! and it skips a huge amount of time. the great world war (WWI) doesn't take place until Anne's kids are old enough to fight in tha war and get married. not when she and Gilbert are. so this story has nothing to do with that of ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. if you've never read teh books, it's a pretty good story. b ut if you have, don't bother. i wont even let anyone in my family buy it for me even though they know it will complete my set. don't bother with it if you are ... | Like many of you, I was fortunate enough to have this wonderful movie shown when I was in elementary school. I never forgot it. It may sound corny, but they don't make movies like this for kids anymore. It is a simple, yet moving tale that reminds us of the truly important things in life. It is a shame that it's never aired anywhere anymore. | What can I say... other then that it is 2008, I am in my mid 20's and I still love everything about Sailor Moon. If you enjoyed watching Sailor Moon in the mornings... early 90's, then you will enjoy all the Edited VHS videos. |

| My daughter and I loved this video. I am always baffled when parents get upset that this video "suggests" to their innocent children that Santa Claus might not be real. This concept is ubiquitous - havn't your kids ever seen a version of "A Christmas Story"? Santa Claus is not real, and why is it so important to you to perpetuate a falsehood as long as possible? | My music teacher showed this wonderful film to us. We liked it because it taught us how Strauss became the waltz king. This film is great to purchase for people who are interested in the great composers. It told his life story and included many of his wonderful compositions. I would recommend this and other composer specials to classical music lovers young and old. A great family movie! |

| Actually, O. B. Tryggvason, a DVD version of this movie has been released (got mine at Walmart). That's how I got to know this movie. All in all, I think it's quite decent. On contrar, D. Mikels, considering this movie is only rated R (and not other adult categories), I would consider this movie quite steamy even for today's standard. |

| As a teacher I find this whole series (save one) to be a great way to introduce students to composers. This movie in particular captured the interest of my students. They enjoyed the music of Strauss which is played throughout the movie and the story was quite good. Because of this they wanted to hear more of Strauss' music and learn more about his life. |
