| This movie, like many of its characters, was not at all what it appeared to be at first look. The plot was intriguing, and I love Matthew Broderick, so I snapped it up at my local video store. Sadly, my enjoyment was ruined by the forehead-slapping lack of credible action by the characters. I had a few laughs at the antics of performance artist Pastel, played by Jean Tripplehorne, and a few of Broderick's blind dates were amusing to watch, but most of the time I was torn between liking the characters ... | The two main characters in this movie are perfect for their parts. A fabulous story about survival on the flooding Mississippi River in a very small row boat. The very pregnant young lady is rescued by the convict, and they stick togeter, with the boat, throughout the story. Don't miss this one! |

| most people don't like this movie, but i love it. i've been waiting so long to get the extended edition DVD, little did i know that they would just spit out the TV version. i'm am livid about this!!!! I WANT THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!! why can't we have the original? waste of money. |

| This very dark film is as good as black comedy gets. An accidental death (don't want to give too much away) at a bachelor party leads to a series of horrific events. Strange and grotesque scenarios occur - escalating into an unexpected ending. Christian Slater plays his role so well its scary. I highly recommend this film - but with a warning: Its not for the faint-hearted. |

| 'Til There Was You
This is a lovely film. Romantic and quirky, with highly enjoyable performances by Jeanne Tripplehorn, Dylan McDermott and a pre-SATC turn by Sarah Jessica Parker. I live in Los Angeles, CA where the film takes place, and the settings feel oh, so familiar. There are some elements that recall other favorites of mine: Frequency and Sliding Doors. For a while, 'Til There Was You was so rarely on television that finally, I purchased it. |

| This has become one of my favorite romantic comedies ever. It is a very clever idea for a romantic comedy. I really love Hugh Grant in this movie, he does a great job in it, as he does in all of his movies. All in all it is a very good movie. 5 STARS!! |

| Legal thrillers rarely satisfy me. It takes a really strong one to peak my interest, hold it and keep me remembering it long after it's through. I guess I just never warmed up to them the way that a lot of movie goers have. That, coupled with the Tom Cruise bug, has kept me away from `The Firm' for some time. I adore Holly Hunter, and her Oscar nomination did make me curious, but as a whole I just wasn't that interested in giving this film a try.
