VHS : Prince Brat & Whipping Boy
I bought this movie for my two oldest children back in the mid-90s. I've since lost my VHS copy and had hoped to purchase it on DVD for my daughter who is now six.

The plot was engaging and funny, while there were no swear words or gratuitous violence to contend with. The movie also included excellent cinematography that made the setting (a fictional European country) seem real.

It truly amazes me that this movie isn't on DVD!

VHS : Three Lives of Thomasina
It's one of the very first movies I ever remember seeing as a very little girl. And Thomasina looks just like my old cat, Ginger.

VHS : Ruby Bridges
This movie did what is called, "tell the truth", but in good taste. Why do I say that? Well it showed how people really can be, but ugly does not have to prevail. Good is a universal description.

If you would like to see this wonderful movie on DVD then we the fans need to let Disney know. A wonderful way to do that would be to send them an e-mail asking them to do so at the following address:
Disneyinfo@Disneyhelp.com
This idea may seem mundane, but it only takes a min. to send them an e-mail and who knows.... maybe if we all band together and ask them to.... then maybe they will.
Remember they can discard one or two e-mails, but when we all e-mail.... it's bound to get ... Read More:

- you can count this one among them. It is worthy of viewing and re-viewing especially since, "Wonder Why" sung superbly by Vic Damone was nominated as Best Song back in '51.

But this one's a-got-to-have IF you're a true Damone fan! As I was way too young to have seen this at its original release in 1951, it was a treat to see Vic at his youngest and in his most debonair role as Frenchman, Andre Milan. Miss Jane Powell, as well, cute as a button ....they sure made a bunch of movies together....(here ... Read More:

Joan Hickson will always be thee "Miss Marple" to me. The recent Miss Marple starring Geraldine McEwan pale in comparison for many reasons.

VHS : Miss Marple: Sleeping Murder
+++++

I watched this movie without reading the 1976 Dame Agatha Christie novel that it was based on. (This was the twelfth and last full length Miss Marple murder mystery novel and was also the year in which Christie died.) I'm glad I did this! Why? Because it forced me to really watch the movie in order to try and deduce who the murderer was.

The movie begins with newlyweds Gwenda Reed (Geraldine Alexander) and Giles Reed (John M. Brown) deciding to buy a large home called "Hillside" located by the ... Read More:
