VHS : Tc 2000
I'll go out on a limb and give this one a 4 stars. Though it feels like your basic average martial arts flick (and unfortunately, another lame movie taking place in the run-down future), the martial arts cast and amount of fight action make up for it. Though the fights aren't overly impressive, and some of these guys are used to giving a stronger performance, it seems there are fights every 5 minutes throughout the film. And I have seen plenty of worse fights in other films too. If it weren't ... Read More:

VHS : Tiger Claws
I actually saw Tiger Claws II (on dvd) before watching the first Tiger Claws (vhs only). The 3 big stars from Tiger Claws, Jalal Merhi, Cynthia Rothrock and Bolo Young, return to Tiger Claws II, and some newcomers as well who are pretty good martial artists from other movies. I had expected the sequal to be more exciting than the first, but as most sequals go, the first is better, and in this case too.

The biggest reason I like the first Tiger Claws is the story. Jalal Merhi and Cynthia Rothrock ... Read More:

VHS : Expect No Mercy
Gary Larocque is the heart of this film; he moves from tepid conservatism of emotions to a fury of life-on-screen and shows us what it means to be an actor: One of the best performances of his generation.

VHS : Tiger Claws 3
What started out as a decent movie, ended up in dissapointment and just an ok flick. Cynthia Rothrock is indeed only in the beginning of the movie, and the rest focuses on Jalal Mehri, who sorry to say, can not impress me very much. Loren Avedon (No Retreat, No Surrender 2 & 3, King of the Kickboxers) plays the bad guy in the movie. His acting actually seemed to improve over his cheesy acting in his other films, but I spoke up too soon by about mid-way through the film. The 3 ancient evil masters he calls ... Read More:

VHS : Tiger Claws II
I'll start off by being honest and saying I have not seen part 1 yet. There were some clips at the beginning of this film from part 1, and they looked somewhat decent...mostly the Bolo Young character in some fight scenes. At first I was not expecting much from this movie, and really bought it cause it had one of my favorite B-movie martial arts villains, Bolo Young. I realized that the overall cast list was pretty good, consisting of Bolo, Jalal Merhi, Cynthia Rothrock, Eric Lee, Evan Lurie, and Ong Soo Han. There ... Read More:

VHS : Guaranteed on Delivery
This movie was really drawn out and slow moving.
The movie has some action scenes but not much to have stars such as Jalal Merhi and Olivier Gruner. In addition, it has David Carredine. This movie could have been much better, I thought the plot was okay, just too slow.

7.Expect to Die starring: Catherine Archer, David Bradley, Bob Cotie, Laurina Hanson, Scott Hogarth

Maybe I am the victim of a bootlegged version, but this is the absolute worst picture quailty I have ever seen on dvd. Seriously, VHS looks better. That's a big minus right there. Maybe its fitiing for this movie, because script, acting, and even the leads are all weak. What saves this film is the good amount of action it has to serve, and a martial arts movie villain favorite - Matthias Hues.

For all of you who know your American martial arts movies, you probably know that Billy Blanks and Jalal Mehri are ... Read More:

Being a fan of Bolo Yeung, I knew I had to check this movie out since he was in it. The disapointment begins there and keeps continuing. Bolo Yeung plays a master on the mountain. He has only a few minutes of screen time, doesn't perform any action, and speaks a few lines that are dubbed over by some other actor who I still couldn't understand what he was saying. I also knew there was a tournament in this movie and I enjoy martial art movies with tournaments because there is a variety of fighters and styles. That was a ... Read More:
