VHS : The Land Before Time
This movie is stupurbolis! Yes I make up my own word for it. I'm glad it doesn't have any songs in it. If it did, I probably would have thrown the VHS out long ago. As for the different tones in the picture, did they restore it before they transfered it? And Nymph 2 was a perfectly good movie and excellent sequel. The songs were entertaining. My schpeil's done.

VHS : Common Ground (2000)
The stories are timeless and still relevant, even though one takes place in 1954, one in 1974, and the last in 2000. It is a similar format to "If These Walls Could Talk 2" in which there are three stories from three different generations. The 1954 sequence hits home, in spite of a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy within the armed services, because even now, a military career can still be irreparably damaged if a soldier or officer is outed. Gay youths can relate to the 1974 story, seeing minimal progress ... Read More:

VHS : That Night (1992)
This is a wonderful movie set in the 50's about a little girl who adores her neighbor who lives across the street. A GREAT movie that should be released on DVD so that everyone can enjoy.

VHS : The Color Of Money
Just as a note--my review comes shortly after the death of Paul Newman, and in a sense this is my way to pay tribute to one of the greatest actors of all time. He will be sorely missed.

Fast Eddie Felson (Paul Newman) was once a great pool shark, but that was 25 years ago. Now he's selling liquor, ironically in pool halls, until he stumbles onto Vince (Tom Cruise), an arrogant, young pool hustler. Felson tries to be his mentor, show him the ropes and teach him a thing or two about what it means to be ... Read More:

The movie was a bit melodramatic but very effective in making it's point. As a woman who was happily married for 27 of 29 years and only discovered my "true" sexuality at almost 50yrs old, I can relate to the hesitancy of pursing this type of relationship. Based on my experience, I found it depicted a fairly realistic view of a female to female relationship.

6.The Park Is Mine starring: Tommy Lee Jones, Helen Shaver, Yaphet Kotto, Lawrence Dane, Peter Dvorsky
directed by: Steven Hilliard Stern

VHS : The Park Is Mine
while not his best tommy lee jones is good as a nam vet who takes over for his dead friend and takes over central park to highlight how wrong vets are being done. the set up and the taking of the park are all handled very well and the story holds up very well when it could have easyly fallen apart. this was first made for hbo in the 80's and really needs to be on dvd.

7.Craft starring: Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, Skeet Ulrich

VHS : Craft
Fire burn and cauldron bubble -witchcraft sure has changed since Shakespeare's day! For one, the coven of witches in "The Craft" are much more becoming than the hags portrayed in Shakespeare's Macbeth. The story centers around Sarah [a very young Robin Tunney] who is emotionally fragile, having recently failed in a suicide attempt. She moves with her father and stepmother to a new place, and finds it awkward at her new school until she is singled out by a group of girls, Nancy [a wicked Fairuza Balk], Bonnie [Neve Campbell], ... VHS : Sweetest Gift
I've watched this movie a few times and it's truly wonderful. The cast is charming and loaded with talent (especially the children). Helen Shaver's character is especially inspiring and well done. She plays an extremely hard-working woman who has been dealt a very difficult hand. Instead of moping and whining and bitterly lamenting her fate (like most of us would), she quietly summons her strength and gets through each demanding day with dignity, courage and a deep love for her children. Great viewing experience for the entire family. ... Read More:

VHS : Pair of Aces
I would like to get the aforementioned movie 'Pair of Aces' in DVD format. I already have an old version on VHS and have just ordered another new copy on VHS but they all come write protected so I cannot copy them to DVD so that I might play them on my equipment.
Any chance of this movie being available in DVD format?

10.Tremors 2 starring: Christopher Gartin, Michael Gross, Marco Hernandez, Thomas Rosales Jr., José Ramón Rosario

VHS : Tremors 2
Back when Tremors 2 came out I was a bit surprised. The movie just seemed to come out of nowhere, it had very little promotion(I do still have the poster). It was straight to video, but I was quite excited-so excited in fact that I dragged my butt out of bed to be down at the grocery/video store by 6AM. Unfortunately, one of the schmuck employees must have beat me to it coz I didn't get to see it that day.
Anyhow, how does it measure up? Pretty good actually. Original Tremors co-screenwriter, Steve Wilson now steps into the director's ... Read More:
