| Wow. This was cinematic vomit for sure. I saw Quantum of Solace earlier tonight and it was kickarse. Since this was on TV I decided to watch it since there was nothing else... and boy, this movie SUCKED!!!!!! Worst 007 movie ever. There's so many bad things about the movie I'm not even kidding. Such as:

| Movie was in great shape for a used product, but I expected the original case to be included in the purchase. I received the movie in an alternative case with none of the original artwork or advertising. I was a little dissapointed as I had ordered this as a replacement for a scratched disk that we owned and would have kept the original case if I had known it wasn't coming. | Tommy Davidson adds great life to an otherwise melo list of charaters in this film. He is funny, peppy, and hip in his role as street smart punk and "thug". The story line is not the biggest focus as are the sketches of ethnic personal relationships, brown nosers in the office and "uncle Toms" in the workplace. | Set in the old South, the story of Queen is a sad, but poignant one. The prejudice against her and the confusion and fear she endures because of her mixed heritage sheds light on the suffering of the times. The acting was great. I think this was one of the first leads for Halle Berry and she does a marvelous job. The only problem I had was her makeup. | A decently recreated cartoon comes to life with Elizabeth Perkins and John Goodman. The rest of the actors were great in their parts too. I didn't care for Halle Barry's seductive character as who thinks of Fred cheating on Wilma? Other than that the story is cute and even brings a moral point in the end.....Family and Friends before fame and fortune!
Fred is set up to take the fall for the quarry's embezzlement. |

| This is a very ironic movie, it came out only 5 years before the 9/11 attacks. its plot is very similar in a way to what happened on that day, or what could have been done to prevent the incident. Sure enough the movie is fiction, most of what is seen would work up to a certain point. Either way the movie is a great effort at demonstrating what could be done in a time of crisis.

I rented this when it was new. Liked it very much except for the language. It's about as bad as it gets. I've heard and used it all but the constant use of the 'MF' word ruined it. Liked it so well I would have bought it if the language wasn't so stupid. |
