| Obviously this is an excellent epic! The DVD quality was average, the first DVD was not quite crisp in reception as you would expect in an average DVD. Perhaps this may have been due to VHS to DVD conversion. I was expecting a digitally remastered copy which this wasn't. Overall the DVD set was excellent value!

| To call this re-telling of the 1935 cinematic classic a failure would be overly generous. It is a fiasco. In fact, it may be the worst big-budget movie ever made.
The antics that of Marlon Brando, who played Fletcher Christian, during filming have become legendary. He was often too drunk and spaced out on drugs to even read his lines from cards held up in front of him; he gained so much weight that he had to be filmed from different angles; etc. However, this movie would have a disaster even ... | It is an enormous pity that this fine movie is not more widely known as I feel it would have a wide appeal especially to the more sensitive and discerning younger audience and their family group

| First things first: It should be noted that this film is clearly identified at the top of the Amazon listing as the version starring Alastair Sim and George Cole. It should be further noted that eight of the nine following reviews refer to an unmemorable potboiler called "The Green Man," a tepid horror flick that featured Albert Finney, made many years later.

| Margaret Rutherford was a scene-stealing, eccentric force of nature in all her movies, and I suspect in her stage roles as well. She had a shape like a sack of produce, a double chin that trembled with a life of its own, little eyes that could widen in shock or squint with suspicion and, when her characters were aroused, a forceful stride that took all before it.
