Goldfinger
Sean Connery returns to play the super-secret-agent fot the third time, following Dr.No and From Russia with Love. I saw this in my Dad's home-theatre. He is, a great Sean Connery Fan and has all the Connery films in his collection. Gert Frobe is the villian of the title in the company of Oddjob. Bernard Lee returns as M and Lois Maxwell as Miss Moneypenny. The script by Paul Dehn and Richard Maibaum is well plotted and entertaining. But the best part is still the titles. John Barry ... VHS : The James Bond Collection
Okay, these sets suck. Come on, this is James friggin' Bond here!!! We can do better than this. Here's my idea of how to handle the Bond box sets, and with any luck in 2010 they'll this to me. As much as I'd love to see one huge box set, that just wouldn't work. First of all it would be simply too big and too expensive, and second of all with new Bond movies every few years it would be out of date rather quickly. So do them by decades. Dig it - the Bond collection volume 1: The 60's. You could do all ... Read More:

For those who still wonder whether this title is available or not in DVD format, the answer is YES but, not in NTSC (U.S. Format).

The only two versions available are in the UK from Amazon.co.uk from an obscure Label called Prism Leisure (An Odyssey Bestseller) and includes the movie in a very shortened format (about 120 min. in PAL, equivalent to about the original U.S. Theatrical Release which in NTSC would come to about 125 to 126min. in length - The British version was originally cut at 140min.), and ... VHS : Bloodline
BLOODLINE, based on the novel by Sidney Sheldon, is a good movie if only to see the radiant Audrey Hepburn in one of her final acting roles. She plays Elizabeth Roffe, who inherits her father's pharmaceutical empire following his mysterious death. Facing opposition and downright hostility from the board members (who also happen to be Roffe relations), Elizabeth's own life soon becomes threatened.

A boring script and meandering plot are the main factors why BLOODLINE never really catches fire; despite a star ... Read More:

VHS : Those Magnificent Men Their Flying Machines
Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines is the British version of The Magnificent Race but it's more like a ripoff. The film uses the real life 1910 event as the basis for the movie but there aren't any similarities beyond that. It's directed & co-written by Ken Annakin, I have yet to find a reason to recommend anything in his name.

The film has a large pool of stars but almost all of them are B-list entities. The story centers on Orvil Newton (Stuart Whitman),an American from the wild West, who enters ... Read More:

VHS : Ludwig
I have read a considerable amount of material on the life of the tragic Ludwig II of Bavaria. Enough to be totally captivated by the man and his dedication to a life of art and music. For sure, he had many flaws like other leaders, but he was a man made for a future era and was born before his time. This Visconti film had tremendous potential to bring out the truth about this famous eccentric who was in love with the night and was only interested in building castles to fill a romantic vision of Germanic mythology. Unfortunately ... Read More:

Remember this movie from years ago(60) Still worth seeing Paris as it was in 1944. Should serve as a reminder that these things are still going on today.
