VHS : The Jungle Book (Fully Restored 30th Anniversary Limited Edition)
The Jungle Book is one of those Disney classics that I never ever get tired of watching! It was the first ever Disney cartoon that my parents got me when I was a child. The characters in this masterpiece are wonderful and each and every one of them has a unique style and personality. Kudos to Rudyard Kipling for writing this beautiful story that will live on in our hearts for many years to come!

VHS : Forever Amber
I really enjoyed the film, though having not read the book feel unqualified to make comments about the screenplay. But as a professional musician I feel that I must comment on the music by Raksin which is the finest example of original romantic film scoring I have ever heard, helped by some sublime string playing. The violin and cello solos are heartbreakingly beautiful. Surely it's worth seeing the film for the music alone.

VHS : Batman & Robin
In the original "Batman" & "Batman Returns," the storylines (or what shreds there were) were overwhelmed by the comic-book schtick left over from the wonderful 1960's "Batman" series. The schtick was fine for the series, but for the films...AUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. GOOD GRIEF! In "Batman Forever," Akiva Goldsman took over the screenwriting duties and the schtick was eliminated, giving way to a firmly grounded storyline. The same with its excellent follow-up "Batman & Robin" (which I fail to ... Read More:

VHS : Son of Fury
Could there have been a more attactive silver screen couple than Tyrone and Gene in ' Son of Fury ' - I don't think so ! He was an extremely handsome man and she could only be described as stunningly beautiful. If, for no other reason, this is worth a watch simply to just see the scenes they share on the idyllic tropical island. An excellent supporting cast particularly with George Sanders playing the part of the cad in fine fashion. I love the ending where Tyrone returns and runs to Gene on the beach.

7.Dial M for Murder starring: Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings, John Williams, Anthony Dawson

VHS : Dial M for Murder
I so totally disagree with all the glowing reviews. There was no suspense for me whatsoever! First off, the characters were types and were never fully developed, never even slightly developed actually. Ray Milland who is a great actor put on a smirkly fake I love you face at the start and left it at that. There was no way to hate him or love him, all you could do was try not to fall asleep. Grace Kelly was ok, but mostly just good looking. That guy who played her boyfriend reminded me of someone from a beach movie.

VHS : Black Swan
I remember as a child watching all the great old pirate movies with my Dad on Friday nights. Tyrone Power was always one of our favorites and The Black Swan is one movie that stood out in memory for me. It is a beautifully filmed and vastly entertaining film and one I just had to add to my "good ole days" section of my DVD library. If you love pirates-don't pass up on this treasure.

VHS : Ghost & Mrs Muir
I'm sure that this was a good film at the time of its release. I found it a bit long and I was unimpressed by Rex Harrison--talk about over acting and big close up soliloquies that are syrupy sweet. There was nothing romantic about him. The side story with Mr. Fairley was about as transparent as it could get. The music was good. The last act breezes by at warp speed and it's just a little disconcerting to watch this woman just content to give up on looking for real love and settle for the day that she can truly be with the Captain again. A real Wuthering ... Read More:
