VHS : Keeping Up Appearances (Angel Gabriel Blue, Rural Retreat, Sea Fever, Entertaining the Hyacinth Way)
This is a great set of videos. It shows Hyacinth at her best. British comedies are 100% better than American comedies. My favorite episode is Hyacinth's outdoor waterside supper with riperian entertainments. It will leave you in stitches. Cheers!

VHS : Keeping Up Appearances - Giftset 2
This VHS collection contains 12 entertaining installments from the successful British comedy "Keeping Up Appearances". For those who are not too familiar with the series, "Keeping Up Appearances" is about Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced bouquet) and her attempts to climb the social ladder at any cost. She tries her best to reach the top of the social strata but always seems to stumble, usually with a little help from her poor but down to earth relatives and their problems. Some of the best episodes are "Violet's Country ... Read More:

VHS : Keeping Up Appearances - Giftset 1 (Rural Retreat/Sea Fever/Angel Gabriel Blue/Entertaining the Hyacinth Way)
Is there a more funny actress on the planet than Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth? If there is, I've never encountered her. If you're a fan of this masterful British television series, then this is an absolute "must have" purchase. Even though I've watched these programs dozens of times each, I never weary of them. This is quality acting and writing of the highest order.

Patricia Routledge as "that Bucket woman" is arguably the second-greatest TV comedic actress of all time (I supposed Lucille Ball would have to ... Read More:

VHS : Sorry Wrong Number (1989)
I recently bought the movie and watched it twice and enjoyed it very much. I thought the acting was wonderful and there just isn't hardly anyone more beautiful than Loni Anderson. When I bought the movie, I didn't try to compare it to the original. Loni gave a more sensitive sad portrayal of the doomed character than Barbara Stanwyck. When you have a remake made over 40 years later, you really should not compare it to the original. Hal Holbrooks gave an excellent portrayal as Loni's father as well. I totally disagree with the other reviews ... Read More:

VHS : Keeping Up Appearances: Mistaken for Aristocracy
Along with "Chef" and "Waiting for God",this is indeed one of Britain's better sitcoms. A tour de force for Patricia Routledge, who's Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet)is one of TV's better fleshed out characters.Check Routledge out in a non-comedic role in Hetty Wainthrope to really appreciate her comic turn in "Appearances." One of the best episodes (to my knowledge) has never aired on American TV, but is shown aboard the QE2 and chronicles Hyacinth and Richard's much ballyhooed cruise aboard the legendary ocean liner. One catch, Daisy ... Read More:
