VHS : Beetlejuice (P&S Slip)
Maybe the definitive Burton film (or maybe more like a tie with `Edward Scissorhands'), `Beetlejuice' is a perfect representation of what Tim Burton is all about. It is loud and boisterous and at the same time dark and edgy. The film very much looks and feels like almost everything that comes out of the Burton factory, yet it is surprisingly fresh in a way. Maybe this has to do with the fact that it is one of his earlier works and so the colors and graphics are not as crisp, which adds an almost ... Read More:

VHS : A League of Their Own
I admit that I am a baseball junkie and did not know as much about this part of the great american pastime as I should have and before I saw the movie I did not know the historical perspective of the subject matter. But that changed.

This is just an out and out great movie with a wonderful cast, Tom Hanks and Geena Davis turn in wonderful performances. I am not a big fan of either Madonna or Rosie O'Donnell, but because of their efforts in this movie I do take a double look whenever I ssee their names ... Read More:

He gets his booze on then takes a spin in his own device. A house fly enters the chamber undetected and their genes are spliced. Seth then gradually becomes a fly over time.

An excellent horror sci fi for it's time and even now. I don't think anyone could have pulled this remake off better than Cronenberg. Cronenberg has a habit of making his ... Read More:

I found this two boxed VHS set at Marshall's for 5.99, brand new, so the asking price here it way too high, but the movies are wonderful for both kids and parents alike. I have a three year old and he is crazy about Stuart Little. You can't go wrong with these films!

VHS : Quick Change
4 stars (why can't we change star ratings after putting the wrong one in?)

I still can't understand why more folks don't know about this flick, one of Bill's better moments. That he also co-directed etc makes it even more impressive. Anyone at all familiar with New York in the 80s will crack up at the Apple humor (this movie is a sly hate letter to NYC), but the plot and its twists are the real stars here, along with all three leads (though Quaid is so good at being annoying that he really becomes annoying!). It starts out fast and slows down, but its 90-minute ... Read More:
