I agree with everybody that has posted reviews about this movie, but the ones that have only 1 or 2 stars. In the style of Gone With the Wind, the novel shows how families were at first united, then separated during the conflict. I am familiar with the historical facts and that is why I could follow the locations and time, but someone who has not read the book or know little about the true facts would be a little lost. I was lucky to get this movie on DVD. The sound and the colors are great, the ... Read More:

I remember seeing this movie when it originally came out in the cinemas - and I came out with a smile on my face. Its one of those silly but really enjoyable teen movies that were so popular in the 1980s (eg Ferris Buller's Day off or Real Genius) that aren't made any more.

This is still I think the best Bond parody movie I've seen - given how much else that has come out on DVD over the years I'm still amazed that this isn't available anywhere in the DVD format. If you run across an old tape ... Read More:

PLOT: Mark Harmon as Ted Bundy~ he nailed this performance~ excellent portait of Ted the man with charm and looks enough to fool JUST about everyone~ very good detailed.

Ted Bundy was charming and was headed to law school. VHS : Streetcar Named Desire (1995)
This lavish 1995 television remake of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE is simply sublime. Jessica Lange is perfect casting for the tour-de-force role of Blanche DuBois, and Tennessee Williams' play still packs a hell of a punch.

Blanche DuBois (Jessica Lange) goes to visit her sister Stella (Diane Lane) and her husband, boorish Stanley Kowalski (Alec Baldwin) one sultry summer in New Orleans. Blanche lives in a world of her own creation to protect herself from the frightening, black gaping void of a hostile real world from which ... Read More:

My husband had seen this movie when he was young and had talked so much about it that I went to Amazon (where you can find anything you want) and ordered it for his birthday. He was so excited that I had found it but was disappointed that it was not the orginal movie. He said it was good, full of history "the real story" of that period but did drag a little. All in all, I think he was pleased that I had even found the movie to share with his friends.

this is a good movie, well directed and played.
the most important thing for me was to see a young Brent Spiner who has a little role, but however he is the friend of the protagonist and he helps him to fly...

VHS : Memorial Day (2001)
MEMORIAL DAY is one of Jeff Speakman's later movies. Speakman looks a little out of shape and doesn't have much heart in his performance as Ed Downey, a former agent of The Agency, who has been placed in a mental institution because he knew about the Eagle satellite and it's laser shooting death ray. Of course, now the Agency has him back, programmed to help in the assassination of presidential candidate Frederick Coffin. Bruce Weitz plays Speakman's former mentor whose involvement in the conspiracy is predictable. Stephanie Niznik (Looking ... Read More:

VHS : Much Ado About Nothing / New York Shakespeare Festival (Broadway Theatre Archive)
This performance was a disappointment on many levels: vapidly hyperbolic, stale stereotyping in staging and acting. Performance/staging were wearisome and actors lines often garbled - felt uninspired, outdated, corny rather than spirited.
