VHS : It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie
I am a big fan of the Muppet Family (Sesame, Fraggles, thee Muppets, Labyrinth, etc.)and so it is without hesitation that I write this review to say this Muppet release is best to be forgotten. Some have been pleased with the newer Muppet releases (Muppet Christ Carol, Muppets From Space) and disappointed (Muppet Treasure Island)... but this release is beyond disappointment or simply a bad movie.

It's simply inappropriate for a Muppet film.

Fozzie is a pick-pocket, which ... Read More:

VHS : Burglar
I want everyone to know that I am 21 years old, and I saw this movie on cable when I was only 13. I walked out of my room a changed person, and realized what I wanted to do with my life from that moment on; Be an Actress. But not just any actress, I wanted to act along side Whoopi Goldberg. She has been my childhood hero since I was 4 years old, and I wanted to be an movie star then as well, but as the years went by, I forgot what I wanted to do with my life, and was uninspired by many things...until the night I ... VHS : Prophecy (1995)
It's not a horrible movie, but after all the good things I heard about it, like it was one of Christopher Walken best movies, I can only be disappointed. So yeah, Mr Walken is great in this movie, but you only see him for about 20 minutes. The rest is just boring. I'm not the kind of person who needs explosions and special effects to be entertained, but there really is not much going on. The plot isn't deep and it's stretched over an hour and a half.

I wonder how that movie got three or four sequels. ... Read More:

7.Chuck Jones - Extremes and In-Betweens, a Life in Animation starring: Ken Burns, Linda Jones Clough, Joe Dante, Roger Ebert, June Foray

VHS : Chuck Jones - Extremes and In-Betweens, a Life in Animation
Chuck Jones is an amazing director, but unfortunately this documentary is more a "celebration" of Jones--the kind of thing you might see at an awards show, only longer and more repetitive--than an in-depth look at his life or work. This DVD isn't worthless. You do get a couple of great cartoons and some mildly-interesting pencil tests. But your time and money would be better spent with Jones' own book (Chuck Amuck: The Life and Times of an Animated Cartoonist) or with the cartoons themselves.

VHS : Naked in New York
This version has the sides chopped off of it to force it into the 1.33:1 aspect ratio. I thought they'd learned to at least offer the full movie these days, but I guess not. I didn't pay full price to only get 2/3rds (or less) of the movie though!

10.Fast Sofa starring: Jake Busey, Crispin Glover, Natasha Lyonne, Adam Goldberg, Eric Roberts
directed by: Salomé Breziner

VHS : Fast Sofa
My husband and I are Crispin fans, to a degree that we try to watch whatever work of his we can find. This movie may have changed that ideology, as this film is painfully bad. And by painfully bad, I have to note that it is NOT bad in the way that one can sit back and enjoy how thoroughly awful a film is, like one would with Ro-Man the Robot Monster or Pitch Black which is horrendously-achingly-funnily bad, no this film is BAD. Disappointing. BAD.
