VHS : The Castle
Saw this heart-warming film several years ago in an art theater and it's the only movie I've ever been to where the audience applauded. Have hunted for some time trying to find The Castle and was so happy to find it on Amazon. It is one of our favorite films. Shouldn't reveal too much of the story but it is basically about a man, his family and their neighbors who fight to keep their homes from being purchased by a large local airport, to build larger landing fields. It's a great story of family ... Read More:

I absolutely love this movie and the special features. It is action packed so there is never a lull, and it pulls on your heart-strings. It is a true story and for once, a movie actually got close to the truth. For some who were actually in Somalia serving our country, this movie may be a little hard to watch, my ex boyfriend could never watch this film because it was too realistic and brought back too many memories. But because it is realistic it is a great movie. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes ... Read More:

VHS : Troy
Many reviewers have complained that the movie "Troy" is not completely true to the Iliad in portraying the characters and events of the Trojan War. This is unfair. Even in ancient times, the Iliad was not the only version of the Trojan War stories, and the Iliad which has come down to us may not be the only version that was performed. The Iliad only tells what happened in the space of 50 days in the 9th year of the war, although it alludes in passing to events that happened before and after these 50 days. Like ... Read More:

directed by: Ang Lee

VHS : Hulk
I thought the cast for this film was really good. I also liked how the director shot certain parts of the movie as if you were reading a comic book. Despite the positive elements, there were two main things that dragged it down. They were the wierd-looking super dogs, and the disappointing water creature that the father becomes at the end. The special effects were also lacking throughout. This one is decent, but the newer Hulk movie is far superior.

Much like the book, this movie gives you a glimps into the life of Mark "Chopper" Read. I just happened across this moves years & years ago. It was weird then & it's still weird now. It's about this Aussie who went around killing/Beating drug dealers & other bullies, because he thought he was supposed to. This film is also a chance to see Eric Bana before he came to the U.S. & made it big in films like "Black Hawk Down", "Hulk", "Troy", & "the Other Boleyn Girl". It's a good black comedy that will leave you ... Read More:
