| Don't take this movie too seriously and you'll just love it. I've watched it every year for years. I agree that it should be released on DVD; the prices for VHS are too high for a medium that tears up easily. The storyline, about a singing star who escapes back to the area she came from to get away from showbiz, is cute but it's Dolly who makes the part. | Dolly Pardon plays her best as a singer that dies in a car crash and is denied entrance into heaven because of her selfish ways. She is sent back down to earth to try to find a mother for 2 children and a wife for there widowed father, before the Christmas deadline. It's really tough for her, though. It's a very good movie. I think everyone would enjoy watching this movie. |

| I had 9to5 years ago on video and i could not get it on dvd here in Australia so i look on Amazon site and they had it i was so wrap about getting i.t has it is a fantastic movie i would rate the movie 5 stars i think its a fantastic movie |

| I saw this movie about 8 or 10 years ago and I thought it was absolutely hilarious! I found it on DVD and for a great price!
The only reason I can think that it bombed in the box office is because no one wanted to see Sly in a comedy; it was all about 'Rocky' and 'Rambo'. And what the heck is he doing making a film with Dolly Parton, right? Well, I would recommend this movie to anyone who has a sense of humor. Yes, it's an 80's flick, but still, it is full of hilarity! |

| This movie was okay. I cant really say I loved it though. John Gotti in some ways is a lot like the character that is played in the movie but on the other hand, they are some what different. I've done a lot of research on John Gotti and his family and I have to say, I did expect more from the film. It covers a lot of things a true Gotti fan already knows and could get boring at times. |

| The little theater is doing a version of this after Christmas so I wanted to see the movie first. If I was younger and could sing I would audition!
But it will be interesting to see how the play compares to the screen version! |

| I have this tape and hoping to find DVD here but no luck (yet!). Anyway I saw only one review so I thought I'd better get in and help! This is Dolly at her best, vocally and visually. Before she got too thin (eat dammit!) before her face was made too tight (ah gravity-who can blame her?) she looked SO good. This is the Dolly equivalence of Elvis's "Aloha from Hawaii" he was his best in every way there, and this is THE Dolly to have.
