| I have seen this movie once on ABC. I loved it. Then I searched for hours on amazon because I couldn't remember the name. I finally found it and have searched on different occasions for a DVD version. This is a must see for all families. I hope it comes out on DVD soon!! |

| Across the board this film has received nothing but 5-star reviews. One after another after another. And that's because it's a film that connects beautifully with everyone who watches it. I don't need to recant the plot, and others have reviewed it so well already. Suffice to say this is a very moving film. It's about humanity, sympathy, overcoming, and grace. Another listing of this same movie "A Bunny's Tale" is actually a low-quality cheap-o EP mode release which I made the mistake of buying. This higher quality release is the PRISM video and is SP mode.

| I watched this movie a long time ago but remember every detail of it. The absolute most saddest thing for any Father to go through especially after having just lost a wife but given this was the 1930's nothing is too surprising; I hope there has been no such other painful incident as this one, Jackson was truly a strong and persistent Father. Nonetheless the story has a bitter-sweet ending. Overall guaranteed to make you cry.

| Okay, so I'm not here to debate whether or not Christina Crawford's memoir was accurate or not, or whether or not this movie portrays Crawford in a light worthy of her because I never knew her and so I cannot judge. I hear people defend this film and its interpretation of the screen legend, and then I hear people ambush this film as if it were a production of the antichrist.

| Very few movies are truly works of art. This is one of them. There are no explosions that throw bodies through the air, no sensational car crashes, no severed human limbs. Rather there is a plot that unfolds on its own good time, well drawn characters, excellently written dialogue, perfect atmosphere, and gorgeous photography.
Still, I understand why some might find the film objectionable. There is nudity, even nudity of a pubescent girl. There is open talk of sex. And some quasi moralists are more offended by that ... Read More: |

| Add this one to your movie marathon with Less Than Zero and Bright Lights, Big City. It has that same feel as the earlier films except for the grisly real-life murder that ends the tale. Performances are solid - particularly Green's - and the sets and costume design are great. Chloe Sevigny, of course, is here - I mean she would have to be, wouldn't she? Anyway, it is very entertaining in that falsely glamorous, trashy way. Very good soundtrack. |
