Let's face it--most people (not all) want to see this, to see the beautiful and extraordinarily talented Yma Sumac. She is included in the cast credits (even touted) yet she is in it all of a few seconds. I agree with the other reviewer, she was featured no more than an any extra. And other than her, the movie isn't so interesting. What is somewhat ironic about this, is that Sumac's only other U.S. film, "Secret of the Incas" is not at all interesting except for her parts, as well! In truth, it was she, ... Read More:

Ok so its old time drama but the movie still carries solid performance from the cast. Movie score is not bad either. Lets just say that it may have inspires the Gladiator & Rome of this generation.

VHS : Last Hunt
The Last Hunt is one of those Westerns that somehow has gotten lost.It is a story of a time, when loosing sight of the roof-tops,was dangerous. The isolation,of the plains, bleeds men of moral behavior.Robert Taylor is Charley. In town he is bearable. On the prairie, where the town and laws and rules of the town are lost,Charley looses the decency and reason that makes folks civilized.
The Last Hunt is a great western. The systematic killing of the buffalo, which looks easy and real, looks that way because the buffalo ... Read More:

A few folks here are being overly hard on this movie. I find it to be a wonderful B sci fi flick. Don't worry about the original book, enjoy this movie for what it is, good acting, good plot, nice sets, overall a very strong B flick that I really hope makes it to DVD soon.

VHS : Haunted Palace (1963)
An American couple travel abroad to haunted olde England to claim an inheritance, which is a strikingly beautiful castle high up on a hill overlooking a gloomy peasant village.

When entering the town pub for some directions, the resident drunken peasants are rude, fearful, & stuporstitious, when finally, a doctor explains the peasants' actions, & guides them to their inheritance.

The castle carries a nefarious connotation, a veritable "place that god forsook", where a Warlock bearing a frightening ... Read More:

VHS : Broken Arrow (1950)
Broken Arrow, starting Jimmy Stuart and Jeff Chandler is a superb film about the fight of the Apaches to maintain their way of life as the white man claims more and more territory away from the tribes.

The story takes place against beautiful scenes of the Arizona landscape. We see an ex-army scout by the name of Tom Jefford save the life of young Indian boy who has been shot during a fight with the white man and the boy begins to understand that not all white man are alike, and that while some may be bad, at least this one ... VHS : Das Indische Grabmal
This film is so terrible it perhaps marks Lang's lowest point. From the heights of M and Metropolis he descends to perhaps the worst dialogue, most phoney plot and most absurd depiction of India I have ever seen in a movie. I have been to Rajasthan and Lang's depiction of Udiapur (the actual setting) is a nonsense. Not only do we have well-lit interior caves with shiny, level studio floors and plastic rocks; not only do we have ridiculously paintined images of the gods; not only do we have the most abjectly ridicuous fight scenes; not only do we ...
