VHS : Stepping Out
Liza Minelli is such a brilliantly expressive actor and dancer, that she can overcome any tired cliche that's thrown at her (starting with the title of this film), and this one has cliches that weren't even cliches in 1991. She's so great in every scene that the viewer forgets that the talents of Andrea Martin, for example, are wasted. Wasted. Shelley Winters gets a slightly better chance to show her skills, as the wizened, retired theatre exponent who nonetheless plays piano part-time for the troupe, ... Read More:

VHS : The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts: Frank Sinatra
In 1977, Dean Martin hosted the "Dean Martin Celebrity Roast" series (which ran on NBC Thursday nights in the 1970's and 1980's). Of the many roasts produced in this series, this episode is especially entertaining as it focuses on one of America's greatest crooners of all-time, Frank Sinatra.

The roasters are of course a who's who of the Hollywood Golden Age. I especially enjoyed a video clip of Sinata and Gene Kelly performing dancing routines in three of their movies from the forties and early ... Read More:

VHS : Miracle Beach
This 80's feel good beach movie is a real winner, and Ami Dolenz could be one of the most beautiful girls of all time. With all of the junk they put on DVD, overlooking this movie is a real crime.

6.Rio Bravo starring: John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan

In todays hustle and bustle world, it's nice to occasionally relax and watch an old fashioned western with real "good guys". This movie is fun entertainment for the whole family and even has a little singing with Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson. I'm so glad we still have movies like this available on disc.

7.Past the Bleachers starring: Richard Dean Anderson, Barnard Hughes, Glynnis O'Connor, Ken Jenkins, Grayson Fricke

VHS : Past the Bleachers
I thought the movie was very good and touching. Richard Dean Anderson did a wonderful job, as always. The only problem I found with the story was that it didn't get detailed enough. The character had a couple of major events happening in his life and they just skimmed over them. The movie ends and you never find out how the big events turned out. Good story, good acting, and worth watching, it just has a couple of holes.

8.The Best Of The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts starring: Dean Martin

VHS : The Best Of The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts
In 1976, Dean Martin himself was the "Man of the Hour" in his celebrated "Dean Martin Celebrity Roast" series (which ran on NBC Thursday nights in the 1970's and 1980's). Of the many roasts produced in this series, this episode is especially hilarious! The hilarity is primarily due to having the greatest put-down artist of all time, Don Rickles, as the host of the roast. Rickles is at his absolute peak in this show. He leads off the roast with a monologue that insults and prods every member of the dias. Rickles introductions ... Read More:

9.Scared Stiff starring: Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Lizabeth Scott, Carmen Miranda, George Dolenz

VHS : Scared Stiff
"Scared Stiff" is a remake of a 1940s Bob Hope comedy called "The Ghost Breakers" which was directed by George Marshall, who also happened to direct this version as well.

I'm just going to jump right into the flaws of the film. First of all I'd just like to say Bob Hope, was one of my favorite comedians. Hope had a natural gift for comedy. His delivery for handling a one-liner has only only been matched by Groucho Marx. There was something about the sound of his voice, his breezy attitude, his facial expressions ... Read More:

I am not a great fan of 70's or 80's movies, but my sister is. She was very happy to get this one and she suggested me to watch it. What can I say- It was amazing how close to the truth it was. It tells one of those stories when sometimes in relationship love isn't enough preserve it. I once lived in small village in the country before my parents moved to the city and this movie amazingly close shows the environment in that village. How young people feel in such town, prejudices of society and so on, and now when I am looking back and ... Read More:
