VHS : Halloween Tree
This is one of my favorite cartoons to show to middle schoolers. We study Medieval Europe and this is the perfect way to talk about how all these different cultures contribute to Halloween as we now practice it. Ray Bradbury is my favorite author, so we read some of the book and the movie is narrated by him so you can use this to teach similes and metaphors. Great learning tool! But I wish it was on DVD!

2.Death of a Gunfighter (1987) starring: Richard Widmark, Lena Horne, Carroll O'Connor, David Opatoshu, Kent Smith
directed by: Alan Smithee, Don Siegel, Robert Totten
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Death of a Gunfighter (1987)
Partly directed by Robert Totten, partly directed by Don Siegel and finally credited to the fictitious Alan Smithee. Baroque western, DEATH OF A GUNFIGHTER (1969) is a curiosity that deserves to be seen. You can find this movie, in a pristine copy, at Amazon.fr on a brand new zone 2 DVD.

VHS : Eight Days a Week
If you ever had a hopeless crush or been placed in "the friend zone" this is must-see. Joshua Schaefer is charming, witty, and adorable. You're rooting for him from the very beginning. Keri Russell is perfect as the dream girl. R.D. Robb plays the perverted wingman to Schaefer and provides his fair share of laughs.
Peter (Schaefer) has been in love with Erica (Russell) for all the years they've lived across the street from each other. Finally, the summer before they're both heading to different colleges ... Read More:

When I got the tape it was in perfect condition. It also came with a bag of popcorn for the entertainment! I was very happy with my purchase since this was a movie that my sisters and I saw a long time ago and from the heavens above(my dad) we were able to come up with the name of the movie. Thanks

6.Law of the Land starring: Jim Davis, Don Johnson, Cal Bellini, Nicholas Hammond, Darleen Carr
directed by: Virgil W. Vogel

VHS : Law of the Land
Talented people made this movie, but the result was disappointing. Quinn Martin, who produced some outstanding crime dramas, tried his hand here at a Western. Unfortunately and uncharacteristically, Martin was unable to put together a solid crime story, strong characters, and a colorful backdrop. The movie's dabbling in sentimental, moralizing subplots, which have never been Martin's strength, only made matters worse.

The movie does not get high marks for creating a sense of place. It was tied down to a standard few sets ... Read More:

7.Piranha (1995) starring: William Katt, Alexandra Paul, Monte Markham, Darleen Carr, Mila Kunis
directed by: Scott P. Levy

VHS : Piranha (1995)
The original "Piranha" was an entertaining cult classic but the decision by Roger Corman to remake it, nearly twenty years later, must have entirely been for finacial reasons because this straight-to-video retread is about as half-baked as it gets. Aside from a few changes of some character's ethnicities and gender, this is almost an exact copy of the first film.

As was the case in the original, two troublesome kids decide to go swimming at a government test site and end up "fish food". Enter Alexandra Paul as a very butch ... Read More:

featuring the late Robert Young as "Judge Charles Raleigh," the widower father of four high-spirited daughters "Susan" (Darleen Carr), "Charlotte" (Fawne Harriman), "Jennifer" (Sharon Gless)& "Robin" (Judy Strangis), all of whom decide to marry on the very same day.

In its sequel (filmed a year later) - "All My Darling Daughters' Anniversary" - it's the Judge himself who decides to remarry, much to the delighted surprise of his family.

9.Beguiled starring: Clint Eastwood, Geraldine Page, Elizabeth Hartman, Jo Ann Harris, Darleen Carr
directed by: Don Siegel
March 01, 1992

VHS : Beguiled
To be honest, I never heard of this movie nor knew about Clint Eastwood's role in it until I came across the DVD in my local library. Well, I took it home, and couldn't play it! So then, I search through Netflix, and of all the good luck, it was available for instant play - and boy, am I glad I watched it! This is definitely uncharted territory for Eastwood, and in a role I'd never envision him in. He does a great job in it and so do all the other cast members, making this one of the most under-rated movies considering the well-written ... Read More:

VHS : Jesus - A Kingdom without Frontiers: Miracles of Jesus
I highly recommend the Miracles of Jesus. It shows true biblical truth! It has amazing art work too! And most importantly the cartoon proclaims Christ as the Son of God our Saviour who shed his blood for the remission of sins.
