VHS : Home Alone
The plot in "Home Alone" is clearly improbable, but that doesn't detract one whit from the appeal of impish (but sometimes adult far-beyond his years) Macaulay Culkin, bumbling Joe Pesci, and the rest of the cast. And, like Aesop's Fables, the film has a moral and a heartwarming tone. It's just not possible to dislike this film.

This movie is so wonderful. I loved it when it originally came out in the early 90's then redisovered it after my own father passed away. This movie should be released to DVD and for all of those who missed it I'm sad for you this movie has all the right punch; comedy, darkness, and drama. If you get the chance watch this movie you will be so glad you did.

VHS : Home Alone 2 - Lost in New York
People look at me like I'm nuts when I tell them that this is my favorite of the Home Alone films. Well whatever. The main reason that I like this movie is because of the way they portray New York's best sights like Central Park, etc. Whereas the first movie kept most of the scenes at his home, this one explores other scenery. And the cast is hilarious. My favorite character (aside from Kevin)is the bird/homeless woman who ends up being a sweetheart. I always choke up at the end when she and Kevin hug ... Read More:

VHS : The Wonder Years: Volume 2
A very good & nostalgic show. I could not stand the immaturity and idiocy of big brither Wayne, and thought he added nothing to the show except an annoying distraction. He should have been more developed as a character or "lost" as was done with the big brother in Happy Days! This show needs to be available on DVD.

Set in contemporary suburbia, young Victor Frankenstein happily plays with his aptly named bull terrier "Sparky", when the tragic happens... the spunky pooch is hit and killed by a car. Crushed, Victor struggles to acclimate to life without him, when he receives the bright Promethian idea to re-animate Sparky after watching the science teacher demonstrate electrical muscle spasms with an "ex-frog".

He rushes home to bring his beloved canine partner back to life. Under the suspicious gaze of a ... Read More:

My family and i absolutely LOVE this movie! We can't get enough and my girls go around the house singing the tunes and listening to them again online. Bound to be a classic in my opinion! Great creativity!

VHS : The Last Movie
I heard Peter Fonda say that even though his father Henry Fonda didn't like Dennis Hopper that after he read 'The Last Movie' he said, "this is one of the great westerns of our time." Well, Hank may have been right about what was on the page but what ended up on film was a cluttered mess. I am a fan of Dennis Hopper somewhat but no matter how you slice it or how much his Hollywood friends try to dress it up this movie stunk. I bought it back in the early 90's and watched it. I gave it to a friend to watch and ... Read More:

VHS : Get Crazy
I can't help but write a review for Get Crazy because my friends and I made a catch phrase out of almost every line of this movie at one time or another. This movie is reminiscent of a bygone era of Rock n' Roll. It is also VERY stupid. Fans of the humor of the film Rock n' Roll High School would appreciate this movie. Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov are in it. I don't know if they were directly involved with making Get Crazy, but it is definalty in line with their sense of humor. I can never get enough of them anyway.

This and "Manhattan" are Woody's two great masterpieces, I think. It's quirky, but it hasn't dated at all because it's classic. You won't laugh a lot, but you may smirk, or smile. I hadn't seen this since it came out years ago. It was a great re-visit. Typical Woody jazz soundtrack lends atmosphere.
