| this is the best in the three part series. it follows the book almost to a "T" and the acting is splendid. if you have children who are yet too young to read, this is a great way to share the ANNE OF GREEN GABLES experience with them. |

| I used to watch this all the time as a little girl with my grandmother. We'd spend all day watching both movies. I am glad that I was able to purchase it on DVD for my daughter and I to share those same memories too!!! |

| I first saw this movie on television when I was a child. The story of the birth of Christ having always been my favorite in the Bible, I was thrilled to see it acted out. | One of my favorite John Wayne movies (with the Shootist, I must like him vulnerable lol.) His and the boys' growth together in knowledge & caring is the important story. Some objected to the ending, but "finishing the job" is important and the actions were no more violent than the times. The addition of Rosco Lee Brown was delightful and added a great deal to the film, more growth for the boys & even a bit for the main character.
