This move is a great timeless Classic. Great acting and good music. I did not know what to expect with Lee Marvin and Clint Easwood, two that were better known for hard gunfighting movies, in a musical, but it is great. I recommend this for all families. It will remain a part of my movie library for future viewing.

2.For A Few Dollars More starring: Tomás Blanco, Roberto Camardiel, Clint Eastwood, Joseph Egger, Klaus Kinski

VHS : For A Few Dollars More
this movie goes down in history for many reasons, but mainly because Lee Van Cleef totally stole the show from Clint Eastwood. The way Van cleef played the character was so cool, with untouchable confidence. You never knew what to expect from him. One of the best scenes is when van cleef confronts Klaus Kinski(hunchback) in the bar and hardly a word is said but still he is very effective because of his presence. He is not just a tough guy but very smart also. This dvd is the european region 2 disc ... Read More:

***** Spoiler Alert *****

Hats off to Mr. Eastwood for getting me to watch a film about women's boxing. I believe that boxing (regardless of gender) is largely barbaric and distasteful.

Add to that, women's boxing is made up in part by ex-prostitutes and ex-strippers, which means that we are heading into degrading territory. Even Frankie deemed female boxing a freak show, rendering him highly reluctant to get involved.

The true heart of this movie is a father-figure ... Read More:

A great buy for DVD format. Loaded with plenty of background on filming, story, and cast/crew. A top-notch production for a great movie series.

I love the film but... We get a two sides dvd, labeled "standard" and "widescreen". Standard has 640x480 pixels video, 4:3 aspect ratio, and widescreen 853x480 pixels, 16:9 aspect ratio. This is great, but the problem is both versions are truncated versions of the original. The widescreen is even more truncated ! If you compare two images, Clint has some blue sky above is hat in standard, and you see only half of his hat in widescreen ! I say it this way to makes things clear, but I'm a tech oriented guy, I checked twice what really ... Read More:

VHS : Dirty Harry
I recently bought this DVD along with "Bullit" because I wanted to see if my recollections of these two very popular films were accurate. In the case of "Bullit", yes. This movie is actually better than I recall back when I was 17 in 1969. McQueen should have won an Oscar for that performance. "Dirty Harry" is inferior in every way: script, direction, sound, and acting. I had trouble staying with "Dirty Harry" what with all the 70s clichés that kept popping up to spoil it. But "Bullit" was fascinating from start to finish. Like James ... Read More:

VHS : Play Misty for Me
This is a damn fine picture, and it's Clint Eastwood's first film as a director. It's not Citizen Kane, but it isn't Fear and Desire (Kubrick's abysmal first film), or Pirahana 2: The Spawning, James Cameron's first feature. either. It's a very good film, and considering this was the first time Clint stepped behind a camera, he did a very good job. The story is quite contemporary as Clint is playing a DJ who beds a woman (played very well by Jessica Walker) who turns out to be a bit unstable and homicidal. The word stalker had not entered the American ... Read More:

VHS : Francis in the Navy
This is the sixth and final film of the series produced by Universal that included Donald O'Connor, and director Arthur Lubin, who created the sequence. It would be charitable to state that this entry is up to the best of its antecedents, as O'Connor's tongue-tied routine as the chowderheaded sidekick of Francis the talking mule has become rather exhausting for audiences by the time of this release. Army lieutenant Peter Stirling (O'Connor) is advised by Francis that the mule has been "drafted" into the Navy and is positioned as surplus to be auctioned at the Coronado ... Read More:

VHS : Revenge of the Creature
'Revenge of the Creature' is a pretty good sequel to the original but, there are several reasons for it not receiving a 5 star rating like the first movie. First of all, I find the changes to the Creature's head piece a big mistake. The "fish-like" eyes on the original were replaced with "bug-like" eyes or bulging eyes and the head is very fat and round shaped. This makes the Creature look sort of fake to me. They also didn't bring Ben Chapman back to play "The Gillman" on land in this film. I found the new actor to be too stereotypical of these rubber suit monster films as ... Read More:
