Yes, previous reviewers are correct, the great lady is past her prime. IT DOESN'T MATTER. She is still the best singer on the stage and her acting as well as her stage manners are exemplary. She gives some of the best demonstrations of how to acknowledge audience applause without breaking character.

This was a brilliant choice for a farewell performance. It showed off her voice, and though the historic Marguerite de Valois was a bride of 18 at the time of the St. Bartholomew's massacre, Ms Sutherland ... Read More:

VHS : Vietnam the Ten Thousand Day War 6 (Mini-Series)
This is a magnificent series. If you could only see one film about the war, this would be it. Great archive footage and remarkably candid interviews with leading players from both sides: eg Lucien Conien, William Colby, MacNamara (I think, it's years since I've seen it) as well as Vietnamese generals and diplomats, north and south. As for the other comments that it's biased, a good friend who is Vietnamese (whose father was Viet Minh) regards it as the best documentary on the war. Pity the DVD isn't more reasonably priced!

Do not be put-off by the Editorial Review, which misses the point. Close attention (even to the edited version) reveals this story is about kindred spirits: the artist inside a contract killer (Hopper) recognizing the potential killer inside a conceptual artist (Foster).

Having reached the pinnacle of his profession, he is at a dead end; having witnessed a mob killing, she is "dead meat." At the risk of his, he saves her life in exchange for her absolute obedience. Now they must out-fight, out-run and out-wit both the mob and ... Read More:

A funny and well written story of culture clash. Also a very odd love story.

VHS : Lost for Words
Lost for Words is a poignant example of a son's loyalty to a somewhat demented mother , she is funny, clever (in a very illogical manner) and reaches into your heart and stays there! A tender film that will help you understand ties that make love and understanding plausible.
