VHS : Remains of the Day
The beauty of Remains of the Day can not be overstated. The photography and art direction were superb in every way. The camera is usually at eye level in most shots, giving the film some intimacy within a great beautiful country home.

The film is based on the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, a talented master of the understated and unsaid. Anthony Hopkins plays his best role in this film because so much of the acting depends on what is controlled and not said, yet conveyed through subtle movements ... Read More:

Contrary to popular belief ... there are more than one kind of Catholic. There is the Roman Catholics who demand celibacy of clergy while the seven Eastern Rite (Byzantine Catholics) allows their priests to marry in Europe. Marriage was not a sacrament until sometime around 1000 AD when the Church added it to its list. Why shouldn't a priest be allowed to take holy orders and marriage vows at the same time? When Jesus taught he is referred to as Rabbi in the scripture, which during his day, was a term reserved ... Read More:

VHS : Dinosaur!
I am 25 years old but I still enjoy this film.It is highly informative and uses very accurate animation to depict the lifes of different generations of dinasaur. The last Christopher Reeves in his pre-paralyzed years narrates this film that not only explores dinasaurs in eductional terms but they're impact on pop culture. It is a very fun show,it aired on network TV in the mid 80's but would do very well on PBS.And it taught me a valuable lesson as a child-dinasaurs became extinct, perhapes because of thee asteroid collision ... VHS : Superman II
At remember as soon as I finished watching the first Superman movie, I was straight online to get the rest. I ended up buying Superman II, and Superman Returns, but adding Superman III & IV to my wishlist. Thank God I didn't buy the lot. Because that would have been a big mistake.

Before people start judging, I have not seen the Richard Donner cut of Superman II. Judging my some reviews, it sounds better, but there's also a lot of reviewers who say this version, directed by David Lester, is great.

Obviously we watched ... Read More:

VHS : Superman the Movie
great, enjoyable movie. beautiful soundtrack. just wish r. donner had done more with the man of steel just like g. reeves. foiling a bank robbery, bending steel bars, jumping out of a window, fight scenes with the bad guys. the scene when the bullets bounced off superman in the tunnel should have been left in the theatrical version. it's the 30th anniversary of the 1978 movie. i'm sure WB will re-release an expanded edition with all the deleted scenes that were never shown. i have VHS copies of the TV version off from ABC TV from 1980. lots of nice scenes to ...
