VHS : The Thorn Birds - The Complete Miniseries
Overall well produced TV series and I watched intently with many emotions of passion, heartache, compassion, and joy for characters portrayed. The Stanwyk character was deplorable esp. with the line: on my mouth! YIKES!!! The aging process was well done for Cardinal Vittorio, Ralph, Grandma Fi, BUT Meggie looks more gorgeous every year, esp. the last scene, they tried to grey her hair, tho unevenly, during the same scene and nary a wrinkle....no biggie compared to her whisper yelling and flat dialogue, ... VHS : Sound of Music
I've loved this movie since I was very young and was so happy when I could buy it on DVD for such a cheap price! I love the music and the story but what I loved about this version is the reunion of all of the actors and actress' still around in 2005! Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Charmain Carr, Nicholas Hammond, Heather Menzies, Duane Chase, Angela Cartwright, Debbie Turner and Kym Karath.
They all looked so happy to be with each other again and they made it look like they were the Von Trapp family again! ... Read More:

VHS : The Making of a Legend: Gone With the Wind
This film is superb. I've watched it over and over again. And it's every bit as good as GWTW. I'm sure that David Selznick taught his sons the art of film making and it's obvious. One will only be as good as his teacher. A must for every film buff.

The TV picture was awesome. Lots of action with great action. What also really impressed me was the sound, If you are a World War II movie fan, then this is a must addition to your library.
I purchased this picture as a gift for my son who lives and works in Thailand. I was concerned that it wouldn't play on his Play Station 3 Japanese unit. FYI it worked just fine.

As I am currently changing all my VHS tapes over to DVD's I am struggling with some really good "old" mostly historical tapes that I don't think will ever be transferred over to DVD, and this is one of them.....the only copy I had, prior to acquiring this one is an old tape from the actual TV drama itself which has been played so often that it is skipping and missing words. I believe that some individual was selling a DVD that they had made but the review was that the picture quality was lousy, so I won't go there. My personally opinion on this movie is ...
