| This film was destined to become a classic when it was first released, not only due to the actors who perform in it but also based upon the story content as well. It's a "feel good" movie recreating the times of our lives that either took place or were discussed around the family table. It rightly takes its place beside classic films featuring both Hepburns, Tracy, Bogie, Bacall, Stewart, etc.

| Tea with Mussolini is just plain awful. What a waste of talent with
a deplorable script that will make you cringe. It's painful to watch. What really is gaulling is that this film is available on DVD and another Maggie Smith film "The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne" is not available on DVD. Now that's a tragedy. I wish I could be more complimentary but "Tea" is such a disappointment. |

| If you want to know what Mermaids is all about plot-wise, there are dozens of reviews to tell you that, but as for me, I'm here to gush praises on one of my favorite movies ever! When I was a teen I loved this movie to death! I saw it a few weeks back and you know what, it's still pretty much wonderful! When I think of this film I think of the good old days, not the pre-upheaval 1960's Mermaids depicts, I mean my own good old days of the early '90's when I'd watch this movie all the time, and life was so darn good. | There are 2 Episodes on this tape and one has Sonny & Cher. It is called "The Hot Number Affair" Episode and truly wonderful:
It shows Cher true-to-life, showing her initial interest in designing, right when her career in music had just begun to take off. And Sonny, WAY against character, is playing a tailor who is NOT married to her, but he is able to bank his jealousy. | I've been doing the dance workout for almost 15 years and lost tons of weight. It's still my favorite video, it's the only one I have that is fun enough to keep me going. Cher isn't leading the video, she only exercises to it and makes her comments. The music is fun as well. There is a bit of Cher talking at the beginning, I just fast forward that and do the dance part. I just wish I could find another workout I like as well. |
