I was 5 when it came out, and it instantly became my favorite movie. For some reason, this movie popped into my head the other day, and i decided I had to get it. I can't wait to see it again. I just hope it is as good as I remember it to be.

VHS : Churchill and the Cabinet War Rooms
This tape is simply not that interesting. As the title implies, the main topic is about the rooms where Churchill and the British wartime cabinet met. Beyond the fact that the room was not completely safe from a direct hit by a large bomb, there is nothing else that makes the tape worthwhile. Basic facts about the room are insignificant compared to the reality that the outcome of the war and the fate of millions was being decided by the air battle taking place overhead.

This Timeless Video release is NOT the original serial but a condensed version. Like the original ran for three or four hours and this version has been condensed to 73 minutes.

There is lots of action crammed into that time span, and Lugosi is suitably creepy. There are good scenes. But it's not likely to satisfy true serial collectors.

VHS : Malcolm X: Death of a Prophet
Malcolm X is an essential figure in American history and Morgan Freeman is fine actor, but this movie just didn't work for me. If you know the basic story and events of his life, this movie doesn't really tell you anything new. Why make a movie of only the last 24 hours of his life? There is so much to be learned in the years before that. I recommend the Spike Lee film and the Autobiography of Malcolm X instead. They will tell you much more about the dimension of the man than this short film can.

9.Surviving the Game starring: Ice-T, Rutger Hauer, Charles S. Dutton, Gary Busey, F. Murray Abraham
directed by: Ernest R. Dickerson

VHS : Surviving the Game
For those of you that don't know, Ice T is a really good actor.

This movie is a classic.

Highly recommended to all manly men! If you like this movie, check out the movie "The Hunted"!

VHS : The Thin Red Line
Malik's epic anti-war treatise is less effective on repeat and its pitch at the sublime is best savoured on big-screen theatre darkness to work its magic. Much of the necessary swatches of sky through tree canopy, macro nature, and shifting light over sussurating grasses, the ephphanies experienced from the Christ-like Caviezel used to counter the violence of combat terror, is lost on small format. Initially, the film moved me. Now, and with the pretentious,'New World', added to Malik's oeuvre, I side with those who experience tedium, ... Read More:
