Thumbs down on this seller. I am very dissatisfied. I have bought many used items through Amazon and always had very good results with other sellers. I wrote to the seller and did not get a response. I asked for details on returns and no response. I asked for a refund and no response. Do not purchase from this seller. I am still waiting for action to be taken to resolve this issue. I rate this BAD (no stars).
I hope Amazon can help me with this problem.

VHS : Two Lane Blacktop
This movie is the ultimate existential road trip.

Although I wouldn't normally say this when describing how I feel about a film but I love the way the movie distances the characters from the audience. Dennis Wilson and James Taylor's lack of acting experience actually adds to the films atmosphere. As true existential characters, they are too focused on 'the road' to worry about anything else. They only show true emotion when the Girl comes between them, making those scenes even more potent.

Shirley Maclaine's willingness to risk ridicule with her candor is to be commended. She powerfully states what many people fear to speak of. This book inspired me and in fact, if the title had not been taken, may very well have been the title for "Blessings In The Mire." Because she is such a celebrity figure, Maclaine risked more than an average joe. By expressing her beliefs, she opened herself up to the skeptics, the critics, the hecklers. If for nothing else, Ms. Maclaine should be commended for her candor and bavery, but with ... Read More:

I purchased this movie for a friend from the Amazon market place seller and was holding my breath waiting to see what kind of shape a movie this old would be in when it arrived in my mailbox but to my surprise, it arrived in near mint condition. So my friend, who doesn't live near me, asked me to view the movie to make sure it was okay, I said "sure why not?, I hadn't seen it since it aired on TV, I'll give it a whirl!".

Well, in went the tape and aside from some tracking issues, which were solved with tracking controls, during the ... Read More:

VHS : To Hell & Back
Being an avid reader of military history, and knowing someone with eyewitness knowledge of Audie Murphy's wartime exploits. I'd categorize the film as being fairly true to the autobiographical book, even if a bit "Hollywoodized" by a theme song written for especially the film, and by the sometimes hokey acting of Murphy's supporting characters. Murphy was, indeed, a hero. A hero who saw and experienced indescribable horror while still in his late teens. His persona was forged by many months of combat, and his eyes - the eyes of a man who'd seen too much - reflected ... Read More:

VHS : Dear Heart
With those lines, Henry Manicini's song begins one of the finest romatic movies Hollywood ever produced. I have loved "Dear Heart" from my first viewing so many years ago on television, and I was so happy when it was first released on VHS. I actually sent letters asking the movie be saved. Now, it is about to be forgotten again, and that would be such a shame. I hope someone will rescue this most wonderful of movies and release it on DVD. I promise to be an ardent customer.
Why is the movie so special? - wonderful script, superb acting, careful direction, and, of course, ... Read More:

VHS : Tuttles of Tahiti
I had fond memories of the book and of the movie itself I had seen many years ago on TV. In viewing it again, I wonder what I was thinking then for now it is more than a bit boring and its atmosphere of 1930s feel-good socialism is almost unbearable now that we have lived through the prosperity of the 1980s.

On top of that, the VHS sound is exceptionally poor.

Moral: If a film is NOT available on DVD, it is probably that unpopular for a good reason.

9.The Glenn Miller Story starring: James Stewart, June Allyson, Harry Morgan, Charles Drake, George Tobias

VHS : The Glenn Miller Story
If you love Jimmy Stewart, this is the movie for you. Jimmy Stewart portrayed Glenn Miller with style and grace. Love it!

The scenes with the service men is very special to my family as my father was in this film and can be clearly seen. When this movie was on TV when I was growing up, we always watched it no matter the time of day. Now we can watch it over and over and pause it to get a better look.

10.All That Heaven Allows starring: Jane Wyman, Rock Hudson, Agnes Moorehead, Conrad Nagel, Virginia Grey
directed by: Douglas Sirk

VHS : All That Heaven Allows
"All That Heaven Allows" is a 1950s sudser that can be watched on a couple of levels. First and foremost is the entertainment value. Jane Wyman is so terrific playing widow Carrie Scott. Within the first twenty minutes of the movie, three different suitors move in on her. The most intriguing, and from the perfect 1950s standpoint, the most unconventional, is her landscaper, Ron Kirby. Ron is younger. Material wealth means nothing to him, preferring to spend his time with his trees, living Thoreau rather than just reading him. Carrie eventually gives in to temptation and the suburban milieu she ... Read More:
