This movie was made in the days before film-makers realized that people were sophisticated enough to recognize corn when they saw it. Horz Bucholz's impetuous kid act was just total corn. Talk about bad acting. Robert Vaughn deliberately affects some kind of bizarre weakling voice quality.

The whole premise of the movie was that the villagers were wothless cowards but Bronson goes off his head proclaiming how brave they are because they're dirt scratching farmers. The 40 banditos ride into the village ... Read More:

Charles Bronson plays the role of the original vigilante, Mr. Paul Kearsey. There are many films of the 70's that tried in vain to have depth, but the social commentary that Death Wish delivers in urban violence is very thought provoking. The movie delivers in thrills and drama while Mr. Kearsey attempts to settle a score against the scum of the streets. Viewing this film only makes me realize how mush I miss Charles Bronson and how wonderful of an actor he was.

We just saw this movie on TV and while it probably deserved the 2 stars the TV rating gave it, we had a ball watching it. This movie has it all! Cowboys, Indians, Train Robberies, Mexican Missions, Prostitutes, Gushing Fake Blood, and Samurai. What more could you ask for in a Western.

6.Raid on Entebbe starring: Peter Finch, Charles Bronson, Martin Balsam, Horst Buchholz, John Saxon

It's a good movie and definitely a great story. Anytime folks stand up to evil and prevail, it deserves an applaud. This is a true story of terrorist kidnapping of a passenger airliner and holding them hostage trying to get them exchanged for release of imprisoned terrorists. The Israeli special forces go to work and pull off a stunning rescue with minimal casualties on their side. It only briefly mentions the aftermath in closing credits, but I think it deserves greater attention. Specifically the killing of the innocent hostage who ... Read More:

Well as a former US Army Tanker, I am writing this from that view. I had the privilege of serving with good soldiers, who on one occassion watched this movie together, as a company. The critisicm never ended.
I do like the actors in this movie, but the background, tactics and overall unit organizations shown in this picture, were pitiful. I can understand the equipment that had to be used to film this picture, but the dialogue could of been much more based on military reality. I feel that all the sides protrayed in this picture ... I'm at a point in my life where watching movies like this kind of goes against my nature. But that said, this is probably a better movie than a lot of people would like to admit. very quickly, these movies were made at a time when people felt helpless, and people wanted a hero like the dangerous architect.

Charles Bronson never really looks for trouble, but it has a way of finding him. Many would chalk this up as of course being required for the sequel, but there is some realism to this. (The character who doesn't look for trouble, but is ... Read More:

I have 3 boys 8,5, and 3 and this is a favorite with each of them as they grew up!! My little one is really nuts about this movie. I love the music and the catchy tunes. I am continually amazed by Christopher Plummer who is the voice of Barnaby... he is just one of the best. I grew up loving him in the Sound of Music and now his talent is being enjoyed by my boys. It takes a real talent to pull off the Barnaby character. Don't pass this up!!!!
