I first saw this series while living in Japan as a child. Ever since, I dreamed of living on a ranch. I loved the book also, which I read after watching the series. I'll always remember the Crown V fondly, especially now that I've married into a cattle ranching family. :)

This is an excellent series for children over the age 10. There's enough adventure for all ages. The characters through the decades resonate throughout the whole series. It makes me want to read the book again. ... Read More:

A must-see for those who did not grow up during the Debbie Reynolds' era. The music is melodious and the movie has a message. Great story, has everything, drama, comedy, unrequieted love, choices. Bittersweet ending for the viewer, joyful ending for the nun who asked the Lord for guidance, then let Him lead the way!

I saw this film in 1962 just days after returning from a tour of Italy. While not a classic film by any means, I was totally won over and was back in Italy again. Whenever I watch it and listen to Max Steiner's wonderful score I can practically smell Rome. It was titled 'Lovers Must Learn' here in the UK, and was never released on VHS here. I had to get a copy from the USA. I would like to add a plea to Warner Bros to release this film on DVD. It has a real nostalgia quotient attached to ... Read More:

The acting is poor, the storyline is weak. There are much better movies out there that deal with the topic of gambling addiction.

A Horrible movie? From what I can recall way back when--when I saw it on TV, I was kind of impressed with it and I've been wanting to include it to my library ever since and that was many, many moons ago; too many to count I'm afraid. But be that as it may--this movie has a great cast; couldn't ask for a better one if you tried. No longer do I have a VCR, so I have to wait for Offical Denial to come out on DVD format; I've been waiting for quite a spell. I do hope I don't have to wait for very much longer. ... Read More:

I am getting tired of seeing the "clone of alien" on every single thing I read about this movie. It does take alot from the Alien film, there is no way to get around that. It does a few things Alien does not, and Alien does ALOT more that this movie doesn't. But the main points, Isolation, beast going through life stages, and a snake alien like creature are really the only things that they have in common. More of a tribute than a rip-off, because the movie was still done very well. Alien is my favorite movie ... Read More:

When I got the tape it was in perfect condition. It also came with a bag of popcorn for the entertainment! I was very happy with my purchase since this was a movie that my sisters and I saw a long time ago and from the heavens above(my dad) we were able to come up with the name of the movie. Thanks

I'm not sure why anyone would pick this one up and pop it in the DVD player when they can just pop the original one in instead. The original is a great classic that will forever sit on top ten lists everywhere as the most chilling work of art ever created for the silver screen. This one is only tepid in comparison, and that's where the interest lies if anything, and that's too watch an update scene for scene, shot for shot movie, minus the suspense and minus the dread. This one is just "blah". Julianne Moore and ... Read More:

Granted some reviewers have created a de facto plot line by arbitrarily deciding that some parts are reality, some dream & some symbolism, etc. but they ignore large parts that can't be fitted into their story line. It's important to note the film started out to be a TV series, its seems a reasonable assumption the movie was cobbled together out of scenes that were originally intended to be used in separate episodes with a different plot. I guess Lynch thought every scene was so precious he had to use them in regardless. ... Read More:
