| I have seen this movie once on ABC. I loved it. Then I searched for hours on amazon because I couldn't remember the name. I finally found it and have searched on different occasions for a DVD version. This is a must see for all families. I hope it comes out on DVD soon!! |

| If you have young children (girls especially) show them the original Parent Trap, not the trash with Lindsay Lohan. This original Disney film is funny, adorable, and a personal favorite! |

| Yes, this has faults, many glaring. But it was created for the Texas Sesquicentennial celebration and was aired during the time of year of the battle (if I remember correctly). It was made to be entertaining and appeal to the young people (Alex Baldwin; the young lovers-the girl was played by a former Miss Texas, I think; the marvelous Raul Julia, who practically stole the show), who have to study Texas history twice before they graduate there. | i give this fine mini-series 4 stars because this one was used to set up the rest of the series but for reasons unknown they stoped after this one.

| Not enough of Edward G. Robinson, who can do more with the bags under his eyes than most actors can do with their whole faces. Too much of Ginger Rogers in a horrible hair-cut and a horribly strained effort to play the "bad good girl." In fact, that's too mild; she's just horrible in this.
