VHS : Good-bye, My Lady
I was a little girl when my family saw this movie on a Friday night at the Drive-in theater when it was first released, way back when. The next morning Dad found a kennel in Santa Ana, CA that had basenji's and we went to check them out. Came home that day with a petite 6 month old red and white girl. 2 years later we added a Tri-colored boy to the family. I fell madly in love with them and always wanted one but could never afford the high price tag. Last summer I discovered the Basenji Rescue and ... Read More:

VHS : In Harm's Way
A classic match up of John Wayne, Kirk Douglas with a five star supporting cast. This, and the action a suspence of the early days of World War Two, make it unforgetable.

3.Shane starring: Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, Brandon De Wilde, Jack Palance

I saw this movie for the first time more than a year ago. I've forgotten the storyline, the incidents, the details. But the sheer EXPERIENCE of watching the movie lingers in my heart. There are westerns that are grander (John Ford), more stylish (Sergio Leone), more sophisticated (Anthony Mann); but to me Shane is the most beautiful, the most affecting, the most luminous. It is among the most beautiful movies ever made. The longer time passes without me re-watching it, the greater it looms in my consciousness. I ... Read More:

I found the acting and directing excellent, but the storyline itself was quite repetitious and increasingly boring. Despite having a main fascinating character--who seemed to border on mental illness--there wasn't enough plot development to sustain my interest and develop sympathy for that character.

5.Hud (1963) starring: Paul Newman, Melvyn Douglas, Patricia Neal, Brandon De Wilde, Whit Bissell
directed by: Martin Ritt

VHS : Hud (1963)
This is one of Newmans best, because he plays a completely dispicable

person with no redeeming qualities. He has no scruples and no character.

It is a great departure for Newman and he does a Great job.

6.The Deserter (aka "Ride to Glory") starring: Bekim Fehmiu, Richard Crenna, Chuck Connors, Ricardo Montalban, Ian Bannen
directed by: Burt Kennedy, Niksa Fulgosi
October 18, 1990
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : The Deserter (aka "Ride to Glory")
The Deserter, known in some circles as "Ride to Glory" is a riveting movie. It depicts a Captain of Cavalry, who leaves the army after his wife is killed by Apaches. He is brought back to train and lead a special detachment that will invade and attack the Apache warcamp. The movie is filled with great stars and character actors. Slim Pickens and Woody Strode are great. I have no idea what happened to Bekim Fehmu, but he delivered a stirring performance in the lead role.
If you like movies featuring the U.S. Cavalry and the Apaches ... Read More:

VHS : All Fall Down
"All Fall Down" stars Warren Beatty, in one of his earliest roles, as Berry-Berry Willart. Berry-Berry is a womanizer and perhaps worse, yet he's idolized by his parents (Angela Lansbury & Karl Malden) and kid brother, Clint (Brandon de Wilde). When Clint visits his brother in Key West, he finds that Berry-Berry has been arrested for roughing up a prostitute. He bails out Berry-Berry and heads home to Ohio, where his overbearing mother and alcoholic father badger him. Berry-Berry eventually returns home, to the delight of his family, who obviously ...
