I have always been a Muppet fan and was privaliged to have been raised on Sesame Street. Brian Henson has what his father Jim Henson had, A wonderful imagination and sense of humor. If you take the Muppet movies too literally you miss the point, just enjoy.

VHS : The Boondock Saints
Due to lack of advertising, I didn't see this movie til a few years after its release when a good friend of mine bought it for me and I'm very glad he did. This movie is up there with my top favorite movies. Buy this movie, you won't be disappointed...and if you are, I doubt it'll take you long to find a new owner for your Boondock Saints.

VHS : Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
I purchased this movie because I thought it would be appropriate for my family movie night. Thankfully the kids were more interested in playing than movie watching as my sister and I had the opportunity to pre-screen. OH, MY...this movie is NOT FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!! I've never read the books, but the movie was totally inappropriate and should have been rated PG-13. This film is full of abuse...attempted murder of three children, physical abuse, and almost on the verge of sexual abuse as Jim Carey's ... Read More:

VHS : Indecent Proposal
I still remember seeing the trailer for this movie when I was a kid. It seemed so adult, so provocative. Even at the tender age of ten, I recognized the inherent sexual power and enticement in the single image of Robert Redford leaning over a pool table and offering a man $1 million for a night with his wife. Back then, I was desperate to see how the story ended, but my mother didn't let me go to movies like that.

Fast-forward fifteen years to the time when I finally got around to watching the movie. ... Read More:

I am not one who enjoys an action film. I did find myself drawn to this one though. It has charm and wonderful actors. There is twist's and turns throughout the film. My husband loved it so much that I decided to buy this for him. It's definately worth buying! It takes you through time but in a way that it differs from the rest of the "time traveling" films. It's the only one of it's kind and Would make a wonderful gift for anyone.

7.Prince Charming (P&S Slip) starring: Martin Short, Christina Applegate, Andrea Martin, Billy Connolly, Bernadette Peters

VHS : Prince Charming (P&S Slip)
I have loved this movie since seeing it on TV. I have looked for it for the past several years and am so glad to see it here in DVD. It has a very heartwarming story line in a fractured fairytale format. It is enjoyable for all ages and of course Martin Short adds his unique style of humor to make this truly enjoyable. It would make a great family viewing buy.

Prince Albert is dead and Queen Victoria (Dench) is inconsolable). The servants don't know what to do. No one can get her out of her mourning.

Because her husband was so fond of him, Victoria sends for John Brown (Billy Connolly), a Scotsman who was one of her husband's attendants. Being a stubborn Scot, he doesn't take 'no' for an answer and waits out in the courtyard until Her Majesty finally decides to go out on a pony ride. Gradually, they develop a friendship--or is it more? That's a question asked by historians and fans of the royal ... Read More:

VHS : Bullshot
It's not a take-off of the Pink Panther, it's a take-off of Bulldog Drummond who was one of the original 1920s action heroes. Bulldog was a WWI veteran action hero characterised by slightly unlikely explanations of how he got out of situations. Bullshot is characterised by ludicrously funny explanations of how he got out of situations. Each time he gives his explanation (such as "I talk squid" IIRC) it is greeted by his devoted girlfriend with the loving phrase "Oh Bullshot!". Do I need to change the letter for you?

I'd call this a farce (definition: ... Read More:

VHS : Secret Policeman's Ball
A brilliant set of sketches performed by the best of British comedians, and musicians. Several of the routines have provided quotations that have entered the comic lexicon [and not just in our family]: "Will the wind be so mighty, as to lay low the mountains of the earth?" (Rowan Atkinson and Peter Cook), "Interviewer" (Atkinson and John Cleese), "Wensleydale? Oh no, that's my name" (Cleese and Michael Palin). And the live performances of the songs (by Pete Townshend, Phil Collins, and Sting) are terrific. A tragedy that Rhino hasn't released it on DVD yet, but I remain ... Read More:
