| First of all,if you are a fan of John LeCarre`s work,then you enjoy that detailed,realistic and methodical "real world" espionage life that LeCarre sucks you into. This BBC mini-series is a wonderful adaptation of the novel and has much re-watch value.I recommend reading the book "A Perfect Spy" before viewing the mini-series...you will enjoy it that much more if you do!A great BBC television program that will also appeal to fans of British television and foreign film. The cast includes Wendy Barrie, Paul Guifoyle and Jonathan Hale. In THE SAINT MEETS THE TIGER Simon Templar chased after some violent gold smugglers. The film was bought by Republic Pictures from RKO RADIO PICTURES and released in 1943. Hugh Sinclair had the role of Simon Templar. Also included in the cast were Jean Gillie and Gordon McLeod. |

| The first half of this video is great, it starts out with an amusing instance of mistaken identity, as two Austrian princes, who are also French lieutenants, mistake Indy for a delivery boy because he's riding a bike and his uniform is covered up by his coat. They run him off the road with their car, and are later shocked to learn that he's not only not a delivery boy, but that he's a captain, outranking them. | I got to say I only ever seen Dirk as Face, Starbuck and in Alaska however this was an entirely different role and though First Blood literally stole this whole film.
This really is a gem, great casting and comedy, a simple story that works on all levels without having what the Bruchiemers etc would do with it today, the chemistry between the two leads was awesome there commentary that went with the DVD made it worth the buy & I got to say for the 1980's this film really has stood the test of time very well. ... | For those who appreciate British history in India, forbidden romance and swashbuckling conquest; if you could watch a 5 hour movie, then this is for you. You will find diverse characters, sumptuous costumes, fabulous horse flesh and parade dressed elephants in an exotic countryside of castles , palaces and battlefields.
