| Last Of The Dog Men ranks right up there with Dreamkeeper for me. This is a beautiful film to look at.With a great story and musical score. Like a great book,it grabs you from the beginning and carries you through till the end. The acting by all,is superb,as well.
How it treats the issue of this last surviving tribe is especially respectful and satisfying. Once viewed,the scenery will never be forgotten. I don't believe anyone could be disappointed in this film. |

| I recorded this one back in the early nineties from HBO and I still have it.
Naturally, by today's standards, it looks awful. But since I like the story and the acting in it, I am willing to forget about its flaws in picture quality. Yet, as for so many other little "jewels and gems" out there, seemingly nobody has the time to find a pristine copy and slam it onto DVD... | Hoosier is a great sports movie and great storytelling. Shot in 1986 as a early 50s period piece, it will remain timeless. Hoosiers is the standard underdog sports movie, but a carefully crafted script with complex characters, great acting, and a superb music score lift it far above most of the other films in the genre.

| The Last Temptation of Christ is not quite a weird movie. If you're expecting profound blasphemy and other good stuff, this is actually tame like a punk that bought all their outfit at Hot Topic. For one thing, the movie dares show Jesus might have had a different mind than most people, one prone to breakdown that might lead him to imagine he's God. | Twenty years past its release date, Tin Men remains a keeper. Danny DeVito may have worn out his exasperated/enraged small man schtick by now, but in 1987 it was still fresh. Like Diner, Tin Men is set in end-of-an-era Baltimore, 1963, and so much that is in it has disappeared or declined. Crowd noise from old Memorial Stadium fills a part of one scene and the camera captures those brick row houses that lined the streets around the stadium in their prime. | Hello all! I hope my review helps. This is a true story, which happened in my hometown of Humboldt, TN. The character "Emma" is actually still alive. It's interesting to see how the whole town (if I may be so liberal to call it such)..still "shuns" her. I could hardly believe something like this happened in my home. My mom shared the story with me when I was 17, but I didn't get to see the movie until some years later. Oddly enough...things of this nature are still occuring in big cities and small towns. |

| I have enjoyed this movie more times than I can remember. Joe Pesci is perfect as the scrappy tabloid photographer who at heart feels that what he is doing is also an ART. The film is about vindicating himself as an artist and reclaiming his personal life as a man, after sacrificing so much because he is driven to capture the ultimate picture in his work and living for so long seemingly as a bum.
