VHS : My Fair Lady (digitally THX mastered)
The only problem I have with this DVD of "My Fair Lady" is that it is in letter-box format & it's too scrunched down for me to read the lips. Good thing I know the movie by heart PLUS it has "closed captioning". Other than that, my friend & I completely enjoyed the movie. It arrived SO QUICKLY & the price was SO affordable! I'll do all my Christmas shopping at Amazon!

VHS : Roman Holiday (1953)
Even tho it's from the 50's and in B&W (a turnoff for a lot of people) the movie is wonderful, the scenes are still fresh & funny; delightful scenes of Rome and Life in the 50's. She stays all night, still a virgin in the morning? everyone isn't having sex with everyone on camera? No one gets MURDERED??? no gore? Believe it or not, if a film is written and acted brilliantly - and here you have 3 of the great actors of all time -- a movie doesn't need shock value to be great, and this film proves ... VHS : Sabrina (Commemorative Edition)
Let me start out by saying that if you've seen the remake with Harrison Ford, I am so sorry, but this film will erase that from your memory. You've got Audrey Hepburn, one of the greatest actresses of all time and my personal favorite, as the beautiful title character and Humphrey Bogart, perhaps the greatest actor there ever was and also my favorite actor, and William Holden, another big shot, fighting over her heart as hillarity ensues, in what has to be one of the essential classic Romantic Comedies.

4.Breakfast at Tiffany's starring: Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen, Martin Balsam
directed by: Blake Edwards

VHS : Breakfast at Tiffany's
Forget about Capote's cynical novella and enjoy what a couple of master Hollywood craftsmen (Edwards and Axelrod) spin from it. It is pure 24 k Romantic gold. There has never been a more perfect date movie.
Hepburn was never more radiantly beautiful than in 61. And Peppard is quite a piece of male eye candy. Together they are the perfect Upper East Side New York dysfunctional couple: Physical perfection and infantile neurosis wrapped up in one beautiful Tiffany Blue box of a movie.

5.Green Mansions starring: Audrey Hepburn, Anthony Perkins, Lee J. Cobb, Sessue Hayakawa, Henry Silva

Don't Believe any of the negative reviews about this film. I love this movie!!. I saw it on T.V. years ago, rented it on V.H.S. at some point, and have been waiting for it to come out on D.V.D.forever.(Along with other obscure favorites like "the Mad Woman of Chaillot"-starring Katherine Hepburn,"a Thousand Clowns"-starring Jason Robards, and, "the Slender thread"-Starring Sidney poitier; which it seems may finally be released on disk). I think these would make great criterion releases due to their off-beat but original natures. ... Read More:

directed by: Billy Wilder

VHS : Love in the Afternoon
The wisdom of Amazon kept recommending this to me. Why - because I bought Two For The Road several years ago?? That purchase was based on love of that film and its timeless reflection on love/marriage. Love in the Afternoon cannot be compared in any way save for the presence of the lovely Audrey Hepburn. She shines in both films but the latter doesn't come close to being saved by her inclusion.

Gary Cooper - are we kidding? Who in the name of William Shatner (an Olivier by comparison) ever considered him an ACTOR?? ... Read More:

7.Wait Until Dark starring: Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin, Richard Crenna, Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Jack Weston
directed by: Terence Young

VHS : Wait Until Dark
Based on the play by Frederick Knott, 1967's WAIT UNTIL DARK was very much "the" thriller of the era, a shocker that set audiences screaming--particularly in the film's final ten minutes, when cinema lights were lowered to the legal limit, placing both characters and audiences in near total blackout for the the movie's climax. The whole thing was a huge success, and it copped Audrey Hepburn still another Academy Award nomination as best actress.

Hepburn plays Susy Hendrix, a blind woman living with husband Sam in a New York apartment. ... Read More:

VHS : Nun's Story (1959)
This was one of Audrey's finest performance. She was moving, believable and heart touching. She is the finest actress to ever hit the big screen.

VHS : Funny Face (1957)
Audrey Hepburn as a dowdy, shy little bookworm obsessed with philosophy to the point of excluding all else? Say it's not so.

But such is the legendary actress' role at the start of "Funny Face," an endearingly frothy little musical that spends equal time exploring the nightlife of 1950s Paris and a sparkly, sunny version of the fashion industry. Hepburn and Fred Astaire are the ones who really make the story shine, with plenty of song-and-dance numbers and a quirky, slightly sardonic little romance. It's never a deep story, but it's always a charming ... Read More:
