| For one whom has read the book, the movie captures the essence of the story - chivalry, romance, prejudice, and action. The actors in the movie did an excellent job. The character Ivanhoe was well portrayed and the relationship between Rebecca and Ivanhoe was well developed and believable. The movie addressed all the key activities within the book and succeeded in presenting the story without the audience feeling like the story was being rush.

| I didn't see that TV show and I don't find any interest in the principle
of the thing. As british TV shows are usually first released as DVDs in America, I wish for the release of SCOOP, a London Weekend Television production (the week end branch of ITV)of 1986, a VIDEO COLLECTION VHS in 1990. | Michael Radford's adaptation of the well-known novel by Orwell is very faithful to its source material and very impressive. The cast is perfect in its leading trio: John Hurt as Winston Smith, Suzanna Hamilton as Julia and last but certainly not least in his last movie performance Richard Burton as O'Brien.

| I LOVED this movie when I watched it in the late 80s on VHS. Now, not only can't I find it on DVD here or anywhere online for this area of the world, but I can't even find a VHS copy anywhere. It seems like Australia and Japan and the UK have PAL versions available. Does anyone out there have any influence with the studio to make sure they release this on DVD for WORLDWIDE distribution?
