| There were fair criticisms of this Mystery installment on PBS. All came from author Hillerman's fans, as Skinwalkers is one of his finest books in the series, full of atmosphere and Navaho tradition. Produced by Robert Redford on a PBS budget, this mystery featuring Navaho Tribal Police Officer Joe Leaphorn and the younger Jim Chee, struggling to find a balance between ancient tradition and modern ways, is actually very good if you can separate it from all the expectations from readers.

| This movie was not good. Not good at all. I even watched this movie a couple of times, just to give it another chance and both times regretted it. It seemed like both characters were trying too hard to act, the lines were corny as well as alot of the scenes. I think I would have liked this movie better if they had different actors for the main characters. Jennifer Lopez is a ok actress, the only movie I have really ever liked her in was Selena. Matthew McConaughey is an overrated actor, even though I think he is quite handsome he is seriously lacking ... Read More: |

| I have three Scotish surnames in my ancestry. So I could not pass up a tour to see the British Isles this past summer with our church choir. The trip finale was to sing in the magnificent St. Giles Cathedral just a block or so down from Greyfriar's courtyard and Abbey. The impressive Scotish National Museum is just across the street.
