| I could easily have given this movie five stars on the acting alone. But I had to take out one star for a few inaccuracies in the movie plus the movie left out certain elements in his life that I felt were important(like his speech to the Africans in Africa that the blacks in America had the same struggle that they had) but dont mistake my tone because I still recommend it flaws and all.

| Although dated, this film is griping and disturbing and should be seen. It needs to be re-released so that it can be seen. Not all people can aford the collector's price of those very few scarce copies that become available. |

| This is a good movie about explosive late 60s race relations. But the soundtrack is not listed on Amazon. So I will use the movie entry to review the soundtack.
Quincy Jones, one of the absolute best film composers of this time, wrote the Lost Man Soundtrack, and it is excellent. It holds a lot of soul and blues by unknown singers, and lots of electrified flutes and heavy fuzz bass. | I first saw this wonderful pastiche when it aired on PBS-TV in 1972. For the next several years, before it disappeared, I watched it as often as I could. | This DVD was fun to watch. Fred Astaire does some fun dancing and
