| I recommend this product highly for it's creative value and the bright look on my daughters face (9 years old) that she created something so cool. This is just a really great product and I wish there would have been something like this when I as a kid. |

| My daughter absolutely LOVES this dictionary. She has looked in it almost everyday to learn different meanings. She loves also seeing the pictures in the book. It is definitely age appropriate! |

Depending on how advanced your child is in certain areas they might say "easy-peasy" like mine. But even in those chapters are mazes, coloring areas while they reinforce their existing skills. | I would highly recommend this workbook to any parent who wants to get a head start with their toddler before entering formal pre-k or kindergarden as well as recommend this book to homeschooling families. The pre-k material out there can be very expensive and for a little over $10 this book takes the cake.

| I've purchased a whole bundle of Kumon books, and my then 3 year old soon got bored of each and every one.
The excercises are really teadiously slow for the 3-4 year old lot who knows there ABCs and numbers at the age of 2. It would probably suit a younger age group better. But the boring repetition was difficult to keep a child interested. | First, I'm glad to see Brain Quest has changed their motto from the poorly-thought-out "It's OK to be smart" (implying that some people think it isn't) to the much better "It's fun to be smart."
This workbook is a tremendous value with lots of vibrant, colorful pages full of fun exercises for the 1st grader. Children will probably need an adult to explain the directions for the various exercises, but that is to be expected as this is really a supplement to school work and not a self-directed activity book. Quests were the thing to do for aspiring knights in the ancient land of Angleland (apparently now known as England on current maps). | This is a great book that is great for browsing and learning. It is not a comprehensive encyclopedia, but I highly recommend it even if you have other encyclopedia books. The cover has a mirror-like surface that compels children to want to read it and learn. Great illustrations and good content. I like almost everything that I've seen from DK publishing. We use it for homeschooling but adults will also enjoy browsing it too. |
