| I had nothing but problems with this unit and eventually threw it away (wish I had read the reviews and called Kiddie to get it replaced). If the power went out, it would alarm. If I used hairspray two rooms away, it would alarm. If I used the stove or something burned on a unit, it would alarm. The final straw was during a power outage at about 2:00 am when it went off and, not knowing what to do, I called 911 and had the fire department come out. There was no explosive gas or CO at all. | While this is a fine product, excellent military use in field conditions, it cannot be shipped to an APO in Afghanistan. I'm not quite sure about the logic in not being able to ship to an APO for a serviceman or someone else serving in a warzone. It's a United States zip code, the military will deliver it from there. It's not a sensitive item in any way shape or form and it's a sure bet that those receiving it will not be putting it into the hands of those seeking to do harm with it.

| I wanted a timer on a cord, and this is one. It has a clear, larger display. And setting the two on/off times is almost intuitive. (You need not use both settings.) Unit is quiet, unlike some cheap mechanical timers. And I liked the price.
Here's the slight catch. One would expect that you plug your lamp (or whatever) into the timer. Unfortunately, you plug the lamp into the back of the timer's wall plug. This necessitates pulling out any furniture further from the wall so as to not crush the plugs. ... Read More: |

| The product is compact, however, it is very sensitive when cooking and goes off too easily. The remote shut off only works once and then you manually have to shut it with the button located on the unit. When I puchased it I thought you could always use the remote shut off, however, that is not the case. |

| After reading the great reviews, I had to give it a try. I tried to fix my pre-lit tree that had a partial section out and 2 bad strands of regular mini lights and it did not fix any of these. Waste of time and money. |

| You usually get what you pay for. This case is no exception. I LOVE this headlamp. It's easy to turn off/on when it's on your head. The tilt adjustment stays where you set it. Very easy to readjust the tilt while it's on your head. Bright enough for having to get around in the dark. |
