| First of all we love Amazon.com. These lights came in 2 days! My husband and I put them together; no missing parts and everything went together like it was supposed to. The only thing that wasn't quite clear was that the transformer has to be 10 feet away from the first light. We also spliced into the wire which was okay too. | After reading a few of the reviews here I was wary about ordering this item, but I needed something to hide my power cords and this does exactly what I need. I don't think that the hinge is as flimsy as they say. Just be careful and don't toss it around or yank it open. Just open it, plug things in and leave it alone. Maybe the people who had problems with this open and close the cover day in and day out. I need to open it only a few times per month to plug something in and it works just fine.

| I have been an electrician for 30 years. I installed 8 of these timers in my own house 5 years ago. Given that I installed them correctly they have worked wonderfully. I have never had one lockup on me. However, I have had 5 fail because the buttons broke off. They appear to rely on a set of very small plastic tabs that retain them against the spring tension. I have found that a tab will break off causing the button to hang crooked then eventually another tab will fail and the whole button will fall off. There is no way to repair ... Read More: |

| I'm on my third one (heath/zenith is all home depot carries).
On the last two, the outside transmitter didn't last longer than the battery. The first one's electronics died. The second one fell apart in my hands while I was changing out the battery -- the plastic had degraded. |

| The light on the page looks NOTHING like it does in the photo of the product. The light is very dim and uneven. It's the unevenness that makes the page hard to read. It makes it very difficult to scan your eyes across the page to read more than a couple of words at a time. So if you're reading anything technical, you can't see an entire mathematical equation or a line of computer code all at once.
The problem might easily be solved by the company inserting a few more LEDs in the product to fill in the dark spots. But they ... Read More: |

| I bought two of these and they worked marginally for a few weeks and they both stopped sensing. I did try to adjust them over and over; maybe that's why they quit working. I still could use a power switch strip but these are not worth the time, I did try to get some action on replacement or repair and never received and answer. And now I see them offered on Amazon, it must be Karma! Stay away from these. |
