| I purchased this fireplace for my elderly mother who is always cold. It is a nice fireplace for the money. It heats a 22 X 22' room quite easily. My son has been using this item where there is no heat in his room. In the middle of the night he has to shut it off as it warms the room too much. I am not sure my mother can use this because you can't shut the flames off at night and it might not be easy for her to sleep with the glow. | This is a good heater. It is great for the garage where you don't want to heat the entire air space. It warms like the sun, so if you stand next to it you definitely feel heat. Works as described.
I only wish for 2 things: 1. A thermostat. 2. It could be built out of nicer plastic. This plastic feels like if you drop it it WILL break. I do not know this for sure, but I am not going to test it if I can help it. |

| this heater does an excellent job, it is easy to use and thus far quite reliable. the only design changes that would be helpful, would be a slightly altered hand hold for moving it from place to place, and an adjustment to the on off button so that it could be shut off by pressing an on off button separately from the thermostat button. |

| I've been using this for a week now. Works very well and it is very quiet. Only nits are the brightness of the LED and the fact that it forgets the heat settings when you un-plug to move it around. It you plan to move your heater around a lot go for one of the analog Vornado models. |

| This unit has performed admirably in AC mode, and I am sure it will continue to do so in winter. Installation was easy and instructions were clearly written. Because of its tighter temp control range, my AC has run more efficiently.
It is a well designed product worthy of consideration for any thermostat replacement or upgrade. |

| This thing puts out a good amount of heat, even at the lowest settings. The casing is not some cheap plastic - it's solid metal and enormous (check the dimensions before you buy). As other reviews have mentioned, the major downsides to this heater are its controls. The dials are too easy to turn past a desired setting, and the larger dial is basically useless. When active, the timer (set by the smaller dial) makes an annoying ticking sound.

| I have been using this product for the last 2 months. I installed it myself and found the instructions straight forward and easy to understand. I modified the default settings which are recommended for the most energy savings and my usage, for the last 2 months compared to the same months last year, has decreased noticeably. The program is also easy to override on the days I am home and want a little more heat. |
