| I love this heater!I have tried to replace a ventless stove (fumes-yuk!)with all manner of heaters unsuccessfully. None seemed able to keep my lower level kitchen (with ceramic floors & lots of windows)very warm in a 12'x20' area. So far, this has far exceeded my expectations, and I haven't even operated it above 2! I am considering replacing my existing base board with hard-wired units in the future. This was $ well spent. |

| The Honeywell C7089U1006 Outdoor Temperature Sensor was easy to hook up and install, but a little more $$ than I really should have paid, I put this in when I installed the new programmable thermostat. Now I have a reference to the outside temp at the thermostat. I don't know if they make a compatible cordless remote, which would be easier, but this one, so far seems accurate and operable. Plan on splicing the contact lines, however, as the leads are only 6 feet long |

| Ever huddled next to a heater that decides when you're warm enough and turns itself off? I hate those! :) I experimented with different heaters through my company and finally, my office manager ordered me this one. When you move or tilt it, it wll shut itself off to prevent accidental fires but otherwise, it stays on without ANY issues! At work, I have it on for the entire 8 hour days I am there (minus breaks) and at home, I have it on until I go to bed. I do get worried about going to sleep ... Read More: |

I replaced my c. 1995 Honeywell mercury switch with this model and can only praise it for its functionality, appearance, ease-of-use, and easy change out. Indeed, the I used the same screws used for my other 'stat and the wiring was a snap. I believe that mine is powered by the furnace's 24v transformer with a battery back-up. Only one setting (1000w) on this one. No fan, so its completely silent. I'll probably buy another one or two of these for individual room supplemental heating, so I can keep the rest of the house a bit cooler. |
