| I bought this after our first big snowfall in December (07). Our gas blower crapped out on us last winter. In Wisconsin, we had our second highest total December snowfall on record. January is now over and so far we have had a ludicrous amount of snow. So my Snow Fox has been used extensively already. I would say a 4.5 star rating is more accurate. | In the beginning I liked this tiller, although it was a bit on the "light duty" and "high noise" end of the scale. After the warranty was expired, things started to break. The "engine stop" switch kept getting jammed. The pull cord started to not recoil properly. Finally, the linkage between the pull-cord and the engine broke, so that the pull-cord wouldn't turn the engine over. At this point, I gave up and threw the whole thing away.

| This is my 3rd snow blower. It is very well designed and easy to operate. It starts easily with or without the electric start once you find the right settings of the choke and primer. Two days after I purchased it we had 3.5 inches of snow here in Oshkosh Wisconsin. I was supprised to find that the rotating blade pulls the snowblower foreward at a slow speed in heavier snow and very fast in light snow. I had to take parts from my old broken lawnmower to get this one together. If I didn't need to cut my grass so desparetely, I would have packaged it back up and sent it back. I was extremely disappointed. |
