| We bought this for our trip to Key West. It rained part of the way down and most of the way back to South Carolina and we didn't get a single drop of water inside the bag. The bag is HEAVY vinyl and has a velcro lip that folds down to completely cover the zipper; no water leaking in here.

| Highly recommended...and made in USA. Arrived in 2 days, much earlier tahn expected. Light and fairly easy to assemble. Requres 2 people for a few steps. Works great atop our 2004 Totota 4-Runner. We've already used in twice for two 700 mile road trips and it freed up a ton of room in the vehicle so we can comfortably fit all our kids. It holds 4 medium size suit cases nicely. Thanks. |

| I have a 2008 Prius without any sort of roof rack. I purchased the 15 cu. ft. Roof Bag and installed it with no real issues. Then it started to rain--the straps soak up the water and transport it to the interior of the car, where it drips all over the seats. This is completely unacceptable! | Bought this rack for a move across the country from Pennsylvania to Colorado. It got the job done with no issues. Didn't have any weather, so I can't witness to it's water-tighteness, but the way the top fits to the bottom I have little doubt there would be any issues. Wind noise was noticeable and mileage suffered, but I think that has more to do with the 40mph headwind we drove into across all of Kansas. | Actually we were really pleased with the Cargo Box. We have a larger Thule so we have one to compare it to. We needed something distinctly smaller that would fit on top of a fully loaded CRV for a 2400 mile trip. No complaints at all.
Some observations: Yes, it seems a little flimsy compared to the "real" Thule boxes but that comes with the price. It's been very durable but a little disconcerting when the suitcases bend the sides over as you take them out. There's never been any damage to the box or hardware however. ... Read More: |
