| I purchased this bar for an intended trip. I have a GIANT hybrid and my wife a TREK hybrid. While I was a bit apprehensive it proved me wrong. Not one problem from PA to Myrtle Beach via Jacksonville NC to see our daughter and then straight back. Over 1,100 mile and this was the first time we ever took the bike anywhere! |

| My bike went on easy but my wife's and kids' bikes were hard to get onto the rack. Once everything was on it was secure. |

| Easy install, easy on-off, pretty durable. Kinda hold my odd-framed mountain bike in a clumsy way, but still holds it. Great with street bikes. |

| I have a 2001 Camry, and wasn't able to attach the lower straps below the bumper (as the picture shows). Even with them attached to the trunk, it is very stable. I have no worries attaching my $$$ tri bike and traveling at highway speeds. And as a bonus, I can access the trunk now.
Very simple to assemble; once straps are initially set, it's literally a matter of seconds to remove or reattach. |

| I considered buying a Thule rack when I noticed that Amazon had this rack on sale - almost 60% off. I did a little checking of other customer reviews as well as the Allen website. I hadn't heard of Allen before (not that that means anything) but I decided to take a chance on this product. The rack arrived in three days and was ready for installation straight out of the box. | I've had one of these for several years and it works just fine. Be aware it will not carry a full suspension mountain bike without purchasing a Saris Bike Beam Trunk and Hitch Rack Crossbar Adapter for Dual Suspension and Women's Bicycle Frames that spans between the seat tube and stem. There's not enough room between the sloping top tube and rear shock. |

| Assembly instructions as well as operating instructions were almost useless something was lost in the translation... The workmanship was of good quality also the fit and finish were as well. This unit is not for the Toyota FJ Cruiser as you only are able to open the rear door less than half way even with the fold down feature enabled making the loading of large dogs with the unit attached a difficult task. |

| I bought these to use with my Thule Roadway rack, they come 2 per package. I read the review noting the possible frame tube scratches and decided to be pro-active. I used some left over bartape and placed that over the hard plastic where the frame tube rests against. These cages work great to hold the bikes in place. I use the Thule strap that came with the rack to hold the front wheel in position during transport.
It is true that these cages don't lock to the rack so they could be stolen, but at least they are on the lower ... Read More: |

| The first time we tried to put the rack on the van it took us about an hour... Once it was completed we couldn't believe it took so long. Now it takes 5 min and off we go. It's very sturdy. |

| This is a great addition to my Yakima rack. The cord is a little short. You are only able to lock it around the rear bike, but that should do the trick. |
