| am going to be driving from San Diego, CA to Seattle, WA in about a week and have purchased both this and Highland 20052 Superfit Bar Carrier for this trip to use on my '99 Toyota Corolla. This is my first purchase of a cargo bag for on top of your car.
Finally have both the bag and the rack so I decided to put it all on my car to make sure it all works before this trip. The bag was fairly big and I had to spread the bars across all the way, but I do think it will work. Read More: |

| After about one year usage, the rubber starts to break, and the straps start to brake apart.
The rubber where the straps go through and back up and around the frame, the holes on the rubber holders breaks apart. Spend your money on something better then this, unless you only will be hauling your bike 2 or 3 times a summer. I'm looking for a better one. What's wrong with BELL. So cheap!! |

| Even though the manufacturer's website states that the bike rack would fit my 2002 Volvo C70, it rubbed against the rear spoiler. I chose to return it rather than risk damaging my car. Amazon's return center was gracious and extremely helpful in making sure that I was satisfied. |

| With its six straps the rack does not move. Although rated for three bikes, it is very tight. Lost some paint due to rubbing, so I am planning to pick up some pipe insulation for padding. The rubber straps did not come in the box but the helpful tech support sent a set right away. A roof or hitch rack would be better, but much more expensive. I felt safe with my new bikes on this. |

| I tried a couple of other racks before and they had the wobbling problem. This rack came with the anti-wobbling bolt. It does require 2 wrenches, but well worth it. Once tightened, the rack did not wobble at all! The rack seems very sturdy and well made. I have used it and felt very confident and very happy with it. |

| What can I say, it does what it was made to do, and it was easy to use. It made putting my women's bike on our bike rack much easier and more secure. Just be careful that the bar doesn't pinch your hand when putting it on/taking it off! |

| We needed a bike rack fast to fit our CRV for vacation. The quality surpassed expectations. The fit was good. The mounts harmed neither the car nor the bikes. I can't imagine the more expensive models would do a better job.
The rush shipping got it to our home just in time for our trip. I agree with other reviews that the packaging was inferior. The manufacturers carton did not hold up to shipping and was broken open when received. No harm was done though. I recommend that the item be placed in ... Read More: |

| It is waterproof. We hit a rainstorm and the luggage stayed dry. I was able to get one large bag and 2 medium sized bags inside. It's quite roomy. Like any rooftop cargo, it's a pain to load and unload, but it does the job and gives you more space inside. |

| I bought this rooftop carrier in a hurry for a 1000 mile trip. I have a Subaru Forester, the luggage rack has a raised front and back rail, but the siderails are flush. The instructions that came with it said it will 'not work if the siderails are not raised'. Well guess what, it worked. I just tied the sidestraps to the inside side door ceiling handles. I saw someone else using one that strapped the sidestraps to the front rail. So it can be done.
